Boxing rambles

  1. According to boxing news Michael Jennings hasn't retired,he is waiting for the outcome of a shoulder operation before deciding whether to return
He thinks after a couple of tune ups he could get a shot at frankie Gavin

Not inconceivable if the operation goes as planned

Groves reminds me one of the boys in my old gym I think .Commonwealth youth champ .Trying to do chinnies with him man one of them big wide chinnie bars .I'm ex Lympsone Commando boys a machine got huge power for a youth .

  5. Gary Cornish beats Paul Butlin by 5th round stoppage and by all accounts boxes well and is dominant

  6. Another good domestic tonight
    John fewkes dale miles

There are good fights taking place up and down the country every weekend
Fair play to the promoters putting these competitive bouts on and not just using imports and building records

  7. A good prospect Ahmet Patterson won tonight as well beating phil gill

Watch out for this guy I think he is definately capable of British title level

  8. Allan green pulled out of the FNF headliner v elidier Alvarez

Just went to watch it,he came in heavy and pulled out due to food poisoning!!

  9. Billy dibb is unimpressive in a majority decision win over mike Oliver

I want 50 cent to succedd in this promoting game As a name can bring benefits but more because he isn't treating it as a hobby,he seems a fan and turns up on so many shows of all sizes
But his stable of gamboa(talented but frustrating and moneymaker?),dibb(fringe world, one loss more and he might not be that and moneymaker?) and dirrell(where is he,moneymaker?)were poor acquisitions from a promoters point of view

Hopefully Gamboa can turn the tide and produce his best, loving 50 cent as well because he said on tv that floyd clearly avoided pacquiao

Kenny will be getting his own back here. Before he fought Reid he was having bother getting the belt off Groves, Groves was being a bellend. Im sure Kenny complained to the board but they never done anything. Kenny had to borrow some other fighters Londsdale belt for the Reid fight.

  12. Funny story, would like to see them try and take it off him
I'm sure they are pretty expensive bits of kit though

Im sure they are mate, plus they're the best looking belts in boxing.

Kenny has obvious flaws in his boxing ability, but he's more than capable of winning the belt outright. He looked rusty against a washed up Reid but still got the job done early enough. He's one of those fighters who are better than they look, if you know what i mean

  14. I like Anderson,he would of proved to be a legit British champion I'm sure.he had a bad night against a wily of world champ but still stopped him

    I hope he comes back
Paul smith, kenny Anderson, rocky fielding and Callum smith would make for some good fights

  15. Another ramble that doesn't warrant a thread
I see Sam soliman despite being found guilty of doping by the German federation has been exonerated by the IBF which means he is mandatory again

Typical governing body rubbish probaly due to geale soliman being a decent sell
But the fallout for Darren barker is a win over geale would mean a first defence against soliman.definately winnable

Where this leaves the sturm fight tonight god knows
