Only just found out that he's got a fight on the Prizefighter card tomorrow and not seen any mention of it here.

Is it due to the irrelevance of the fight itself or do people no longer have an interest in him?

    Lots of people care.

He is a much bigger fighter than Burns and Burns is a champion.

I have rated Kevin Mitchell from the first time I have seen him. He seems to not train hard and cut corners and against Katsidis that showed It really did. I thought in the Burns fight he was the man with the power not Burns and was shocked how that went. I think this is his FINAL chance. He needs a good win and get straight onto the top 10 trail. I am not saying he can do it but it owes to the support he has been shown over the years by a lot of fans.

I'll care when he beats someone good again, until then i don't. You would have to pay me to watch his fight vs a crap opponent on Saturday.

  12. I wasn't fussed when Hearn signed him and his fight got announced but now he is in action tonight I'm looking forward to seeing him again

He is flawed but throws beautifull shots at times,he really can be a great watch
His performance against John Murray was world class for me

Kev got beat by burns cos he only sparred against billy jo Saunders and lets be honest he's to heavy he done some proper sparring session b4 the Murray fight with the like of burns but that was it now wiv tony sims he's sparring with some very good lightweights like Martin ward and Campbell we might just see a different Kevin Mitchell in the next 18 months

I really dont understand how people were shocked at what Burns did to Mitchell. Sure Mitchell had the talent and power and he's nasty when he hurts someone. but Burns was the bigger, tougher, physically stronger fighter, and proven with it. Mitchell has power, but he's weak, especially in the legs dept. Burns doesn't have a lot of power but he's big and strong. Burns bullied Mitchell that night, but if he wanted to, he could have just outboxed him long. Power aside Burns is physically and technically superior to Mitchell.

Mitchell's getting underrated after the Burns fight, he would beat Crolla imo. Mitchells got talent and power, he's just physically and mentally not world class.

Burns would beat Mitchell every night of the week. He's a level above. There's no such thing as - 'a different Kevin Mitchell'
