i dont understand, oscar is floyd's boss. he gave floyd everything he wanted, shouldnt he show some respect by now?
All Oscar does to promote the fight is say "(enter latest opponent here).... can beat Mayweather, he has the style, (enter latest opponent here.)...... is no (enter Mayweatheers last few opponents here) example:“Canelo is no Guerrero” "Guerrero is no Ortiz" Zab showed the same respect for Oscar, Richard is Golden boy.
It all started back in the day when both guys were promoted by Bob Arum. Mayweather was probably the best fighter in Arum stable but Oscar of course was the PPV star crossover celebrity. Bob Arum pretty much put Mayweather on the back burner for years to promote Oscar more since he brought in the most money especially PPV buys and revenue. Mayweather of course was envy about Oscar and the whole situation and that's when he bought off his contract with Arum and created his own destiny.
Um, back then Oscar was Arum's best fighter. Oscar was losing more money in tax then Floyd was making in an entire year.

Probably because Oscar could sell the same PPV without needing everybody to hate him. Also Oscar could sell PPVs vs nonames. And lastly and this is theory because we won't know until it happens ... Oscar was still the mega cash cow even after taking some losses where Mayweather probably will lose most of his marketability after his first 0. But this is speculation on my part. Oscar showed that if you fight the very best on a consistent basis people will still buy your PPV as long as you are not a jackass.
ali showed us haters sell fights just as much as fanboys. floyd will continue to sell fights past his 1st loss but he only has a few fights left (forget how much the contract had in it)
They are partners, they make each other money. They probably go out and celebrate after each big ppv. If they appear to be at odds with each other it is for show.
