Wladimir Klitschko, worst chin of any heavyweight champ or worstest?

    Why does Wlad not learn from Vitali how to stop getting floored and knocked out. I wish I could post links to show all the knockouts he had been knocked out by nobodies. It is one thing to be knocked out by top boxers in the division, or even craft old veterans who have a few tricks up their sleeves. I'd have more respect for Wlad if during the 90s he was knocked out by tyson, holyfield, lennox, bowe, briggs, foreman, moorer etc. At least those would be respectable understandable losses.

    Wlad has a weak chin persnaps weaker than any heavyweight champion in history. Its not like he is being knocked out when he is an old man, or when he was no good. He is being knocked down and out when he was at his best. And the guys he is being knocked by are not even that good. He was knocked out 3 times by inferior opponents who did not even fight all that well. Its not like he got knocked out by riddick bowe, lennox lewis, mike tyson or one of the top boxers of that decade. He has 3 embarassing losses and almost a dozen embarassing knockdowns. It seems all they did was time his big slow jab and nail him. The Steve Pannel fight showed how hittable and how bad a fighter Klitschko truly is.

    -3 knock downs against samuel peter
    -4 against corrie sanders
    -Ross Puritty laid his ass out :happy
    -lamont brewster waxed his ass twice 2 :bbb
    -Williamsom laid Klitschko out
    - Steve Pannel laid him out with ease:good

    So Wlad has been laid on the matt 12 times. He has near 60 fights. He has not be laid out in his last 10 fight. When he had 50 fights, he had been laid out in 1 of every 4 fights. Now with 60 he down to being knocked out in every 1 in 5 fights. Meaning Every 5 times he walks in a ring he gets knocked down or out. He definetly has chin problem only Amir Khan MIGHT have been knocked down more but I doubt it. The worst part is tall guys usually have the best chins and don't get laid out too much because they are harder to nail solidly. Klitschko is amongst the worst chinned heavyweight champions ever. I doubt even Floyd Patterson could break his record for worst chin in history.

    Given how easy he is to knock down, it shows he has been fighting real poor opposition. He is not even ranked #1 in the world, and he refuses to fight his brother to unify the title because Vitali will expose his weak chin.:bbb

    I can understand he isn't always the most exciting fighter. But I just don't understand the hate for Wlad. He's an awesome Boxer/Puncher/Champion. Just don't get it.

    Nice post about Wlads many flaws. But Wlad was drugged by Don King when he lost to Brewster:yep.. Povetkin is going to bring Wlad and his fans back to earth. Fighting tomato cans for 10 years don't make that eggchin any better. He has the weakest chin and skin for a heavyweight champ ever.

    Yet he has the longest streak without being floored in any championship fights out of all the champions. Not bad for a man with a reputation for a weak chin.

    12 knock downs doesn't say **** about his chin , sanders simply destroyed him, he gassed against Purity and Brewster, Peter knocked him down with rabbit punches. His chin is not great ,but not as bad as you say.. His inability to relax and panic attacks after he gets hit ,was/is his real problem.

    Two things.

    First, he might have been down twelve times, but according to you own list, he was only down in 6 fights. So that's six out of sixty.

    Only one fight in ten.

    But Patterson have been down 20 times in his career. A lot of them in his championship reign.

    So to me Patterson already "beat" Wlad in that category.

    Also, Jack Dempsey was down 13 times in his career.

    Primo Carnera was down 14 times

    Ezzard Charles was down 14 times at heavyweight.

    Joe Louis about 10 times.

    So maybe Wlad has a bad chin. But he's not the worst among champions.

    And not amusing trolling either, just hating on a very successful HW.

    1st all HW champs have fought their share of 'bums' including J Louis & Ali.

    2nd As someone has already noted, Wlads chin is far from the worst among HW champs.
    Patterson, Ingo, others - who often fought CWs - had worse chins than Wlad.

    3rd Wlad would easily defeat most of these golden oldies - even the ones w/solid chins
