You know what's funny, Dana White he was in talks with Roy Jones and Roy was his special guest tonight lmao.
Ali adapted. He went from hands down dancer to covering up on the ropes and countering. Thing is every one can lose, esepecially at 38. But that was ****ing ridiculous.
Dude though he was Roy Jones ...Sad he didn't follow the golden rule in boxing ! "Protect yourself at all times "
I saw it on TV. He didn't want to win. Sad to say but I'm sure he threw that fight. He was toying with the guy in the first round, and then he pretty much just let him knock him down in the second. I like boxing and MMA, but it's crap like this that I hate. You can not convince me otherwise that this wasn't Anderson trying to get rid of his belt. He's 38 years old. He didn't want it anymore. That and he's helping the UFC by building an all American star. This was just as shady as Banks vs Mitchell II! LOL
What a KO that punch had no leverage. I guess beating down on UFC fighters who had never boxed before he thought he had the boxing skills of Ali and clowning ability of Hamed. This Silva guy couldn't even beat the bums in boxing which is why hes resorted to fighting in UFC.
I always said someone will end his stupid games. He forgot that anybody including him can get knocked out.
Over the last few months, all we could hear about was how much he wanted to fight Roy Jones. with the UFC belt, I don't think Dana would let him have a boxing fight. He literally cared more about fighting Roy Jones then anything, that much is clear. He wasn't motivated to fight any of the UFC guys. all he wanted was Roy and by losing he might just get it lmao.
I actually felt good he lost... was rooting for him at first, until he started punching himself in the face
His game was anything but stupid, it was clear to see that Weidman was on his way to being out matched. Anderson had just taken his ground game away by stuffing his take downs, and surviving his ground and pound.
