Anderson has himself to blame, was never a fan of Anderson, he was fighter that hid his problems and has some physiological problems. People think he is some sweet guy. Weidman won and did it in good fashion, knocked him out. This is an eye opener for all fighters also... not worth the show boating. Anderson is a fake.
Are you fuking totally ******ed? Roy jones at 75 years old could KO this bum inside 1 minute in a boxing ring. Silva is no boxer, he's a fukin joke in a real ring.
What a weird Saturday. Old Tony Thompson was supposed to lose, but he didn't. Old Anderson Silva was supposed to win, but he didn't. lol I still hold on to my believe on the fight, but whatever. It is what it is. lol
Still beats the current RJJ, sadly. Prime? No way. Not even in an MMA fight (or of course boxing match). Weidman had his number and was ready to fight a serious, smart, conservative fight and lock onto a knockout.
can someone post the full fight ?tried google and fightnext.com edit nvm. http://fightnext.com/video/Anderson-Silva-vs-Chris-Weidman--UFC-162.php
Silva in this fight was showboating so much. he was basically standing there saying hit me, hit me. he's done this in the past, but not to the extent that he did it in this fight. maybe it was because Roy Jones was in the audience and he was trying to impress him too much. Silva still is an amazing UFC fighter. even at his age, he clearly had enough athleticism and skills to win this fight. but he just went in there and got himself knocked out by attempting to dodge punches repeatedly without even trying to block them. for a moment it really looked like he was trying to get knocked out. even the punch that landed on the reverse angle didn't look like it hit him flush. it grazed his chin, it might have landed, kinda hard to tell, but Silva was being more loose then ever. weidman did take silva down and landed some big punches on the ground. bizarre fight but we come to expect this type of thing from Silva. In the past it made Dana angry because Silva would do this stuff and still win the fight.
Extremely nice. Weidman, unlike most guys just kept punching until he hit the target. Caught Silva with the first left in that combo, silva goes back and Weidman follows while punching and then lands the big left on the chin (even if he didn't generate full force from the punch). Then look at those shots landed on the ground to Silva's chin. For those that say it was fixed... Nothing different than what Anderson usually does, except he typically takes their hearts away and they only throw 1 or 2 punches at a time. This kid would have none of it. Also, those punches definitely weren't fake, even if you think the left hook was simply an arm punch, those punches on the ground would have landed with to much force. Also with super fights Silva/ GSP or Silva/ Jones potentially happening (though doubtful), it doesn't even make sense White would possibly want Weidman to stop any chance of that.
Fans calling this a fix are just deluded morons. Need to come to terms with the fact that AS is not from the ****ing Matrix. If any of his fight were fixed it would be the ones where he acted like that and then won. To say that a 38 year old fighting a top young contender with his hands on his hips that gets caught and knocked out must be a fix is beyond ******ed. He did it too many times for too long, it's a numbers game, he was gonna get caught eventually.
HAHAHAHA He was talking mad **** and got ******ed ****y... Dude above who mentioned Campbell vs. Peden is spot on. Annnnnnnnnnnnd Anderson Silva's "octagon IQ" drops to below average...
