Easily done when there blowing people out after a few rounds, but making statements like there world class needs to wait until they have beaten someone of that stature. Cleverly and Brook often hailed as the next coming but who have they actually fought? i do however think Amir Khan is world level, has numerous wins at that level.
Amir khan is world class as his level of opponent clearly shows as of course is Carl froch But we do suffer from hyping WBO champs who take easy defences or much worse the likes of price who hadn't been stretched before Rating a prospects future level is virtually impossible unless you are their trainer or promoter and see them in the gym At a higher level you will face adversity,questioning fitness,chin,heart and skill Until then you just don't know By the way I'm including myself here
Boxing is about hype, it is about who can shout the loudest and get noticed in a cut throat business. Very rarely do those who shout the loudest have the ability to back it up in the ring.
Exactly, nobody knows. Its alot easier to hype up people who are knocking folk out in a couple of rounds though though, as there heart and resolve dont get asked any questions. Boxers such as Wilder, Price, Lacy etc but until that step up is made it is unclear what there made of and how they react after a few rounds when they know the guy infront of them is not going over after the first decent punch.
This is why I think Tyson fury is actually a good heavyweight who would or will give haye problems The man has had a great apprenticeship

He has, Hennesey moved him along at a decent rate though. He didn't spend too many fights knocking over taxi drivers. There aren't many fights you could point to on Tyson's record and say the opponent was seriously over-matched given the stage of Tyson's career.
