Is it fair to say Thompson is better than Haye?

After all he is supposed to have KO'd him in sparring.

My question is other than the Wladimir performance what seperates them? and as far as the Wladimir performance goes I think Haye gets too much credit, his performance was no better than Sultan Ibragimov's.

Of course Thompson was not going to be at a greater risk of getting stopped, he actually tried to win.

If Haye had ever had any inclination of fighting the other contenders we might actually know for sure.

Yeah but seriously, what has Haye done that warrants all of his hype at heavyweight? He went life and death with Valuev and beat him no more convincingly than Chagaev if at all and he was well beaten by Wladimir and did no better than Sultan Ibragimov.

Other than that he has KO'd a few second tier guys who are not even on the level of Tyson Fury's best wins but he gets this ridiculous hype.

Haye is by far the more talented skilled boxer. I can't see TT beating Haye. Haye would likely be able to out box him to a decision. Haye is more elusive than Price and wouldn't get into a slugfest with TT like Price did.

Exactly it's just the Floyd Mayweather scenario of never fighting tough guys who may not suit your style and then fans acting as though that means you win by default.

but Price's problem in the rematch was stamina. Also I don't see how Haye is the far more talented boxer. Thompson has a better heavyweight resume than him by far imo.

H2H Haye probably decisions TT, but resume-wise, Haye's HW resume is pretty weak, his best wins being Chisora and old and slow Valuev, there's an argument that TT, beating a dangerous up and coming puncher like Price twice, tough as nails Guinn and Krasniqi, has a better resume

TT beats Pulev with total ease.

And Haye landed about 4 at best. That was a fight Haye should have lost

:good Haye fights everyone in ESB hypothetical match-ups. He has this huge resume of HWs that he is deemed to have conquered by virtue of superior theoretical performances.
