I do see what you're saying man...

And to a small fraction of the extent, I agree with you.

Just nowhere near the extreme or the overall outcomes that you are saying.

Cbs is going to do a little this year and next to help out. Trust me I hate the structure now. It is like 2 boxing leagues that won't compete and the fans miss out. I wish all the top fighters would be like Cotto and stay away from both Top rank and GBP, so they could fight anyone they want. One good thing is Box Nation has had some very good cards lately.

No where in that article does it say that Pacquiao has requested blood testing for the Rios fight. You understand the difference between urine testing and blood testing right? Urine testing is standard for boxing. Blood testing was something Mayweather specifically demanded for the Pacquiao fight.

of course he suspected manny was doping why else would he ask for testing. but when its the biggest superfight to be made in years and years and a gaurenteed world record breaker manny should have given floyd what he asked for as it was not much in all honesty. floyd agreed to glove size ring size purse split he just wanted it to be on an even playing field. floyd would have taken the same testing manny was on....

realistically we all came out of this situation losers because we missed out on the defining boxing match of our generation and because both fighters are past prime we never really will know what the result would have been. manny really took a hit in my opinion by turning down testing with some really shady excuses like being afraid of needles when he has tattoos etc. does that mean he is doping ? of course not... does it raise suspicion, ****EN OATH IT DOES!.

pacquiao has one of the longest living boxing promoters in his team.. a lawyer an incredibly smart business man in bob arum.... but you dont need to be all that to see if he is infact a clean athlete he def made the wrong decisions. if i were pacquiao id make a big deal over the extra testing then during further negotiations try and bargain on it. "give me 10 percent more on the purse split and ill do it". he tried to bargain down a cutoff for whatever reason....blood tests weaken you?, no they dont manny and worst case scenario it does guess what? LEVEL PLAYING FIELD floyd is taking the same tests and is weakened..... the way those events played out leaves alot of unanswered questions

edit: has anyone else noticed the decline in intelligent posting in this thread as the thread page numbers went up?

Hes getting VADA to handle his drug testing, they do random drug testing. It says it right there that he asked for it.

    From bscene as well:

Koncz indicates that his team requested the testing protocol.

"Yes, I can confirm that we requested the USADA testing. We've never had anything to hide nor do we have anything to hide now," Koncz stated exclusively to ***********.com.

That article suggested that it is being done in large part due to Marquez's KO of Pacquiao and rumors that Marquez was on PEDs.

Those are interesting points, but it doesn't say that Pacquiao asked for drug testing, only that he agreed to it. This hardly supports your statement that Pacquiao was hypocritical in demanding blood testing. I don't think Pacquiao was ever against random drug testing, it was the blood testing that he didn't accept. That article didn't mention anything about the type of olympic style blood testing that FMJ demanded.

At the end of that boxing scene article it says Mayweather and Pacquiao were able to agree on a testing protocol, but that the monetary split became the bigger issue in making that deal.

random drug testing includes blood testing :hi: If Manny didn't ask for it..who did?

His advisor stated it was their side that asked.
