Can someone explain to me why O'Kane is almost 2-1 favorite over Fitzgerald? :huh When they met in Prizefighter he only got by with a split on the cards and that with Fitz suffering a cut halfway in. I can't see what O'Kane has done to distance himself since then. In the messy PF final he looked utter **** against McDonagh. (although so did McDonagh to be fair; both were knackered from the effort of simply getting there) Fair enough he was subjected to a Howard John Foster patented "British stoppage" against Ryder, but even so he was far behind on my card and had a hard uphill road to even get himself back in the contest - and that's assuming he would've survived the round without intervention which is no sure thing. Meanwhile you have Fitz giving Andy Lee absolute nightmares in what many write off as Lee taking him lightly and having an "off night", but even so - Fitz raked him over the coals and proved his mettle. O'Kane must be something mighty special to be such a heavy fave in an Irish title match against such a tough nut - and based on my few times seeing him, doesn't seem that special... :think
Expected Fitz to be favourite myself. Hoping Eamonn has developed a jab recently and isn't going to continue throwing crazy wild hooks. The Ryder fight was a huge wake up call for him, although he did take it at late notice. Fitz fought well against Lee, although he also lacks technique and looked one dimensional himself. Don't think it will be a fight for the purists, but it won't be dull
I have to agree I was baffled too. I fancy Fitz to take this by imposing himself on O'Kane who tends to try and brawl. O'Kane is nothing like the man we saw in the WSB. It's like he never had any amateur experience the way he has conducted himself as a pro. Does he tend to panic or is it just my erroneous obervation?

That's a sweet little double aswell, 10 returns 165. Unfortunately (probably very fortunate tbh) I'm not the online gambling type and the nearest Paddy Power to me is Sunderland so I won't be having a wager on this one.
Eddie Hearn on Tyson Fury v David Haye, the break up with Carl Frampton & future of Paul McCloskey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyDhlN1ck6I
There was nothing I heard from Eddie Hearn that didn't make sense. Hopefully Frampton can keep more doors open by avoiding those type of remarks in future. As for Sutcliffe, really hope he steps up now and finds a meaningful promoter.
