    You heard it here.

It's quite simple, really. George has the best foot movement and balance in British boxing since Naseem Hamed. He also has the smartest trainer in British boxing.

We know Froch is woefully poor against a mover, as we saw against Barney, Taylor, Dirrell and Ward - arguably losing 90% of those 48 rounds.

Expect Groves to move in and out of range with clusters of 2-3 sharp shots to take Froch's long jab away, and to side-step and change angles frequently to keep the limited plodder Carl off-balance, and double up body shots to slow Froch down even slower than he is anyway.

I see Groves focussing on left hand work while keeping his right hand 'fence' up, to confuse Froch who would expect him to throw lots of right hands that are invited with the low-slung left.... GG shooting only the occasionally short right when applicable, mostly to the solar plexus when Froch swings his wide hook. Also expect to see him take a subtle step back from Froch's long uppercut from the ankle and countering with a shooting right before weaving past Carl's right side of the ribcage and throwing a hurtful left hook-right hand combination to the body on his way around and out of range.

    Groves wide UD.

Good post. Can't disagree with much here, I see a comfortable GG UD.

the thing with groves is, he'll fight whatever way booth sees fit to get the decision/tko. he's adaptable. where as froch only fights one way.

Big Groves fan, but this fight should still be 12 months or so away from him.

I don't think George would beat Carl, I don't think his chin is good enough and I am not sure if it went to a real inside hard fight he would cope with FRoch. Unless as you say he could keep out of the way with his excellent foot movement he has for the full 12 rounds. I just think at the moment he could be winning 10 rounds and Carl would catch him and it would be all over. That said I do like Groves and he has a great future ahead of him

Ive noticed Groves like to stay on the ropes much like Bute and we all know what happened to Bute....Anderson dropped Groves! Froch would Ko Groves....Groves need another year and world class opponents before he takes on Froch.

I think the word mover needs to be looked at a bit deeper. Groves movement isn't anywhere near as good as the movement of a Dirrell, Ward or Taylor. It's a lot more forced and a lot more harder for Groves to pull off. He does a decent job of moving and probably will move against Froch but do think the word is being flung out there like he's on the level of Dirrell in terms of movement and reflexes.

His stance is very wide which gains more power but cuts off the movement. If he tries to move like he did against DeGale then in a way he's going to have to give up on his power punch out put.

That in someways is good for Groves as his counter punches could frustrate Froch and Groves has excellent timing and accuracy but also Froch has been buzzed by quick punches.

In saying that Groves has a first phase defence and Froch punches in bunches and with Groves also at times looking away from punches he could be hurt himself.

I think it's a lot more competitive then some think. I don't believe it will be one sided for either man. I do feel Froch needs to fight a smart fight and not just wage war but i do feel Froch wins on points or possibly late.
