People who think Jimmy Wilde (25% of his opponents had WINNING records, look it up) is greater than FMJ are not boxing fans, they are toothless brittards.

You're right, this is an obvious thread.

    It's painfully obvious actually.

Mayweather possesses incredible God Given boxing talents BUT talent alone does not make an ATG. If only Mayweather had a set of cojones to equal his natural talents. Then maybe Just Maybe he would be a great as he thinks he is now. Floyd screwed up his own legacy

Agreed. He'll go down as one of boxing's greats no doubt, but he will not go down with one of the best boxing resumes. Good resume, but not an ATG resume. Avoided way to many fighters when his division (WW) was red hot.. Margarito, Clottey, Williams, Cotto, etc and waited to long to fight Mosley. Returned and opted to make Marquez jump up, fights Victor Ortiz after he quits to Maidana, draws to Petson, and beats Berto. Fights Robert Guerro after a war with Aydin and beats Berto.

Canelo is a pretty good fight, but even Floyd fans gotta agree it's kind of crapp he made him fight at catchweight (considering the hard time Mayweather gave Pac about making Cotto drop 2 pounds :patsch)

Lennox Lewis will rate higher because Lewis backed down from nobody, fought the best and beat everyone.

Currently, and I think most ppl's HOF list would agree with this, Lewis > Mayweather

But when he is done he will have been KO'd by Amir Khan, automatically making Khan better

Lewis wasn't even higher in the p4p rankings when Mayweather was fighting at Super Featherweight.. wtf makes you think he's greater than him now?

Bert Sugar, a highly respected boxing historian wrote a book 2 years before he died featuring his top 100 boxers of all time.

Jimmy Wilde was 18th, Ted Kid Lewis was 46th, Bob Fitzommons was 66th, Freddie Welsh was 76th.

Do you know where Mayweather finished in the top 100....he didn't.

    Toothless Brit indeed

Yep if only he'd fought Clottey his legacy could have been saved.
