You better check their KO% then. JMM has always had the higher KO%. The real question is when did Pac start getting a chin and getting all his KOs? He was getting KTFO by bums so he doesn't seem to be naturally gifted.

While Mayweather is currently CHERRY PICKING another Lineal Champ in a higher division in a unification bout, the cw is BS an a easy copout, I hate it myself but what can you do.

People argue that Mayweather ducks fights but he fights nothing but champs that fight nothing but champs. If you say Guerrero is the worst champ May's beat.

Well the worst champ Mayweather beat has victories over Berto, Casamyour, and Salido outside of Cotto those three wins **** on any opponent a guy like Margarito's ever beaten.

Hell Baldomir has been in with Rubio,Alvarez,Forest,Mayweather,Judah that line up competes with any lineup of top opponents faced between Williams & Margarito combined

Meanwhile one of Pacquiao's best victories comes against a guy who was in the middle of a 1-6 run with that one victory ironically enough coming over Pacquaio in there first fight.

As much as people want to say it doesn't losses also come into play an even if you say May has one dubious win in Castillo I, with Pac a legit argument can be made that he lost EVERY fight vs Marquez

In the aftermath the view is skewed but before is was made crystal clear who won in III & IV the general consensus was that Pac had lost the 2nd fight even clearer than the first so if you have Pac 0-3-1 or 0-4 to Marquez that shifts the momentum greatly

As for the Bradley fight to me it was close enough that I won't argue with the guy who actually tried to win getting victory over the guy who fought 20-30 sec a round and hoped to steal it. btw anything between 8-4 pac or 7-5 bradley is cool with me anything else and your reaching hard.

= Pacquiao beats Cotto has Broken ear drum (stops him in the 12th)

Mayweather beats Hoya after his venture to 160(legit champ at 154, coming of ko, 15+lb edge)

All this talk about Mayweather ducking. Is the fight with Alvarez mean anything. I know that on this site and a few others, people were saying That floyd would duck Alvarez. Now he is fighting the best opponent he can right now. The only better fight he could make would be Lucas Matthasse.

Pac. None of Floyd's wins even trump Morales, Barrera and a in shape Marquez IMO... Add to the fact Pac was not only beating guys who fans laughed that he was fighting.. Everytime Pac steps in, first DLH "Pac is going to get decapitated by a left hook!", then Ricky Hatton "To strong", then a Miguel Cotto "going to smash Pac's glass body", Margarito "Simply to big", on and on. The man was superman until becoming a politician.

I read some comments that said Floyd's resume at 147 trumps Pac's. Why? Pac beat guys that Floyd (a WW at the time) chose to avoid... Clottey, Margarito, Cotto, DLH even if he was weight drained (his own fault) etc. Who has Floyd really beat? Recently he made marquez move up, Ricky Hatton, Victor Ortiz who went on to do great things lol, Robert Guerrero, DLH, etc. Both beat Mosley, and I'd give Floyd a 1 up for fighting a younger Mosley (although still old).

Why is Floyd's resume possibly better? Just because Pac is coming off a knockout against Marquez? Floyd is definitely a good fighter, but if he fights 4 more fights against good competition the man is going to get beat himself, probably beat up bad by whoever accomplishes it, and then the fans will turn on him as well. He's a very gifted fighter no doubt, but only reason people would rank him over somebody with a great resume, full of guys he shouldn't even have been fighting (referring to Pac), is his undefeated record

 

Pacquiao made an older version of Marquez move up and ended getting KTFO in the process. When you think about it, it has to be one of the funniest moments in boxing history. Pac camp is thinking JMM will be older, slower, and not at his best weight. Considering how JMM looked in his last WW match prior this should be a walk in the park. The deck was stacked against JMM and Pac couldn't even deliver.

Both are great but Floyd will easily be remembered for being the best of his era.

 

Right now if both are judged, people will remember Floyd as one of the very best who ever lived.

While Pacquiao has done great things for the sport of boxing, unfortunately people will remember Pacquiao for being ktfo by Marquez.

 

that is only going to be for the pachaters and floyd fans.

 

What about the casual fan?

 

Casuals have short term memories. And right now all they remember is Pac's face smushed down on the canvas. Sad but true.

 

...and maybe casuals, but objective fans and historians i believe will put pac ahead of floyd.
