you and the others that voted for floyd should also give him an award or statue....kinda' like what the Boxing Writers of America gave to pacquiao when he was awarded as the Fighter of the Decade.

Very true, Right now Floyd is looking better, taking on Alvarez, still undefeated, and we all hope Pac will beat rios but what if he doesn't? After Floyd has finished his showtime contract and retires for good, we can compare their records. I think Floyd will fight Lucas Mattaysse next, if he does it will be hard to talk bad about him taking on 2 guys in a row who are younger and stronger, when he is 36?

Floyd 1195 wins,195losses 84% winning record for his opponents. Floyds record 44-0-0
Even though it is close Floyd's record is better. Manny has had 17 more fights and his oppenets have 109 more losses.
Floyds opponents average 4.4 losses, Manny's average 4.9 losses. Floyd has had just slightly better competition.

I think that Pac was at the top for a while. But Money as been at the top for the longer run at both ends of the Pac era.

 

Because Floyd did not want to fight him, Pac fought Mosley and beat him better than Floyd did.

 

Manny who? Hardly anybody talks about him anymore. Imagine what it will be like when he's years removed? Probably same for Mayweather to be fair. He's made money but not long lasting impressions. I'll remember Manny for not taking the test. Say what you want, but he could have slapped Floyd in the face and possibly beat his ass in the ring by taking the tests little girl gymnasts take in the Olympics. I thought Manny was all about the fans? But he didn't. Nothing but excuses after.

 

Pac was the champ when he lost to Singsurat but was he the champ when he lost to Morales and JMM in their 4th fight? Ah yah, you're not counting the Bradley fight as a loss for Pac, right?

 

You're right, nobody talks about him anymore except Mayweather to promote his upcoming fight with Canelo! Floyd will not be remembered for his undefeated record but for masterly avoiding any fighter with a slightest chance of upsetting him aside from Pac.

 

They probably would if they were lanky, poorly-trained and malnourished 17 year-old construction workers who took boxing as a side job.

 

I'll remember Floyd as the fighter who has superior boxing skills, a bigger guy than Pac, and a betting favorite. He just wanted to clean up the sport of boxing when fans were clamoring for a fight against Pacquiao, that's how he'll be remembered :hi:
