The best one I've seen in recent years has got to be Calzaghe...

Both great champions so I dont know I would consider them work horses. Maybe Lamotta, but you can't really blame the guy for losing to sugar ray.

Good call another high number professional.

Interested in seeing if anyone else picks a newer era fight...

Had to google him I don't really keep up on flyweights, he has a good record. Seems accomplished can you recommend any good fights of his?

    I feel embarrassed I didn't know about him ****...

    I love Pong. He's a HOF'er for sure. I rate him a top 10 flyweight easily.

    Fight to check out:
2002- Daisuke Naito I, the fastest KO in Flyweight title fight history.
His four fight rivalry with Naito is epic.

He beat a who's who of then or future top 10 contenders or title holders at Flyweight. They include Daisuke Naito X2, Koki Kameda, Julio Cesar Miranda, Luis Lazarte, Malcolm Tunacao, Edgar Sosa, Gilberto Keb Baas, and Suryiyan Rungvisai.

He has been destroyed twice in the past just over a year. Gave up the lineal Flyweight title to Sonny Boy Jaro and then lost for the first time in three fights to sub-.500 Rey Megrino.

He's currently 89-5-2. Supposed to have retired, but came back for a couple cupcake wins since then. He may be one of our last hopes for a 100 win champion. He won't be a titlist past 100 wins, but if he fights 11 more "Thai club level" opponents like he has filled his record with between title defenses, he can pass 100. Don't think any former champ has done that in quite a while. Chavez, obviously.
