    Roy beat 2 future HOF'er and 1 current HOF'er
at or near there peaks. .........oscar was beyond shot and
nothing more than a manufactured 'Beltholder' at 154. History books
20 yrs from now will shine down brighter on Roy than they will on
    Floyd.[/quote]

Who is the HOF'er who Roy beat near their peak? Mcallum? He was more shot than Oscar was in the Floyd fight. Both guys are atg fighters. People diminish Roy as a fighter when they say he was only good because of his athleticism and speed and never had any real boxing skill. People who say that really DKSAB! Roy is one of the most brilliant offensive fighters of all time. The way he could punch and create angles was brilliant. His ring iq is very high. But Floyd is the more polished fighter who is good fighting all styles of fighters. Floyd has the aura right now but if he ends up getting stopped at any point before he retires his whole standing would be shattered. The whole thing with Floyd for most people is that he has never lost, if he loses, people will say its proof that he was a cherry picker and avioded Pacquiao because he knew he would lose.

Mayweather as he has the much better resume.

The argument for "better P4P" could mean H2H in which case I could understand choosing a prime Jones over Mayweather I guess. But to me this thread implies career, which would make this answer pretty clearly Floyd to me.

If you think Floyd has a better resume, then I respect your opinion, but I don't see how he has a much better resume.

I'd disagree with that, neither man has a ATG list of opponents but i reckon Mayweather has consistantly fought a better calibre. Jones fought some real mugs, guys with no chance. Mayweather has the better record for me, particulary being unbeaten.

It's actually quite hard to split them i reckon, Jones was possibly the more special fighter.
