Point taken regarding the body attack but round 7 is 33/1 and round 9 is 40/1 seems abit strange

Aye, there could be as many as three upsets. (Peter McDonagh over Paddy Murphy is hardly outside the realm of possibility...obviously most of us feel that Fitz is wrongly represented as such a dog against O'Kane...and honestly with how green Fury is he could be caught by Perk with something akin to what he floored Dimitrenko with...and then we'll see what Hughie's powers of recovery are like, if anything like his cousin's)

Hmm yeah for it to be so hyper-specific on the 8th with such a big drop in value, I see what you mean. Odd indeed. :conf

Could just be one big bet. With a fight of this magnitude (quite small betting wise), if one punter stuck a couple of grand on the 8th it'd be enough to lower the price massively.
Now who'd be throwing down that sort of money on such an outcome I don't know, but still.

The card ought to be starting pretty soon, it's getting on near 7pm in Dundalk.

This is pretty cool: none other than Willie "Big Bang" Casey will be sitting ringside tweeting updates. :p

What ever happened with his career? It seems to have stalled out since he edged past Booth a year ago.

He was a decent little fighter at Euro level and gets an undeservedly bad rap for having been a lamb to slaughter against Rigondeaux and becoming a laughingstock (before people realized just how good Rigondeaux is...)

i think it was sustained betting on the 8th as all bookies have now closed the round betting for this bar bet victor who is still 14/1, how much would each fighter get for this fight because neither is going to be world / Euro champ so my
question is would it be financially worth it to throw the fight?

The undercard is rolling along, nearly halfway done.

Luke Keeler and Tommy Tolan just reached the midpoint of their 4-rounder.

Next will be a pair of 6's (including Hughie Fury vs. Ivica Perkovic) followed by the business end of the card; Murphy vs. McDonagh and the main event.

All up on Boxrec in real time, mate. :good

    So far:

    Sutcliffe Jr. TKO1 Mitev
Collins Jr. PTS4 Makarenko (ref scoring, 39-37)
Keeler PTS4 Tolan (ref scoring, 40-36)

Next up is Hughie Fury vs. Ivica Perkovic, 6x3.

Hughie is in the ring, with Tyson in his corner.

"Hughie Fury dishing it out. Perkovic spat out the gumshield at the end of 3 to gain a few seconds of respite. Fury looking impressive"

A quick blowout of Perk would be quite a statement. The hardy Croatian has been stopped only seven times in thirty-nine appearances, with most of those corner retirements.

Oscar "Kaboom" Rivas - an outstanding amateur who is yet to make waves in the pros, but trust me he does have more than ample talent if he could secure the matchmaking and could definitely be a long-reigning post-K2 champion - is among the very few to ever knock Perkovic down and even there it got waved off prematurely after Perkovic had beaten the count without difficulty.

"Hughie Fury almost brought it to a halt in the fifth. Lashing in the body blows but big boy Perkovic is well padded, let's say"

The @IrishBoxingCom and @Willie_Casey accounts have gone dead quiet since before the undercard started, both last reporting they were en route. :conf

"Perkovic retires at the end of the fifth - I'd bet a ton his ribs are cracked. Hughie Fury wins again, now 7-0"
