Say what you want, but Zab beat him.

And for him to have even been in a close fight with Zab, who everyone likes to say "is past it" "is mentally weak" and "is only a 4 round fighter" means that Matthysse certainly is not the Superman everyone makes him out to be.

He may have improved, but so have a lot of others.

I expect a close fight, and won't be surprised either way.

Get in close and clinch Matthysse. When Matthysse inevitably rabbit punches fall down and make it into a big show. Win via DQ.

Watch the Zab Judah fight , doesn't guarantee you the victory though , Zab did get caught , hurt and dropped . Although Many felt Lucas was robbed , I felt the fight could have gone either way . A argument could be made for either fighter .

    Definitely a very close fight.

But this is Zab we're talking about. The fighter everyone loves to bash, going up against everyone's mancrush. Of course most people here believe he was robbed. But that was no robbery. Round for Round many people, including two of the judges felt like Zab edged it out. And even the judge that gave it to Matthysse has it close. Certainly no robbery, just a bunch of fanboys and haters.

But like you said, Zab had some success, although he did get hurt. Zab does lack focus and stamina at times. This is a bad combination against a powerful guy like Matthysse who gets stronger as the fight wears on.

I would like to see them rematch, especially as Zab tried to show a little better resolve and concentration in his last fight.

step 1: don't believe the hype.
step 2: jab the **** outta that muphucka.
step 3: make him miss and make him pay.
step 4: block, slip and roll them wide ass punches.
    step 5: control distance.
    step 6: watch him deflate.
step 7: step in for the kill.

The Alexander fight was a robbery. I had Lucas winning 6 rounds to 4, plus he scored a knockdown. You could also make a case for a 10-8 round in whichever round it was (round 8, think) where Lucas kicked the **** out of Devon and it looked like he was on the verge of scoring a stoppage. No way in hell Alexander deserved that decision. One judge had it 96-93 for Devon, meaning he gave Devon 7 out of the 10 rounds, which was complete horse****. Based on that one scorecard alone, you could say Matthysse was robbed because it shows he never was gonna get a fair shake to begin with on that particular card.

Now the Judah fight, that's a different story. It was a very close fight and could have went either way. Lucas was a bit more cautious then and his slow start resulted in the fight being closer than it likely would have been, had he fought with the urgency he currently fights with.

Matthysse is no different than any puncher in boxing history. There will come a day when he is hit back with that same power or hit back by an Ali, or a Sugar Leonard. It always happens.

Matthysse was not robbed in either fight. They were SD losses.

Are you actually implying that a split decision can't be considered a robbery?
