Why Fury might actually beat Haye

While David Price had his glass chin shattered twice. Tyson Fury has something unique amongst boxers. You see, what makes a great boxer is not always actual boxing skill it is thing like
-consistency
-hard work
-showing up to the gym
-not getting addicted to drugs
-smack talking
-a chin
-being able to get up when you get laid out
-Internal warrior spirit

I am not even really a big fan of any of these guys, so consider myself neutral. Haye has certainly achieved more. But his pitiful show of a fight against Klitschko and his pulling his guard up to his armpits against Chisora shows to me someone who lacks alot of things mentally. He is a decent boxer, but he would rather fight to survive than to win. Fury on the other hand, is less skilled, but he is ****y and arrogant (and perhaprs stupid) enough to not fight to survive but to fight to win. Its like the movie full metal jacket, your fat, dumb, ugly, but you have guts and sometimes guts is enough to win. Despite being less skilled, I am not sure if Haye's heart is in boxing or he is too caught up in the millionaires lifestyle.

 

He has no chance.

Floyd Mayweather isn't in boxing for the glory nowadays, but he still tends to beat opponents who're levels below him without keeling over. This isn't Rocky.

 

Dont compare Floyd to David Haye,Haye is a bottler and can be beaten.

ye haye is a defensive wizard like mayweather, haye gets hit like he did vs chisora, but usually has more firepower than his opponents. haye is fave just on his power alone, but fury can punch as well. haye is not god :nut good reflexes and athlete, not much boxing skill.

 

Haye is elusive powerful but not much else fury can adapt. Haye didn't impress me stall v Chisora. Fury did KO Cunningham what is a first. It's all relative as haye has been hurt and stopped and is from same division

 

It's relative. Fury isn't of the same calibre as the sort 140-150 boxers Mayweather tends to fight, cherry picker or not.

Everyone who thinks Fury will win feel free to place large bets with me.

It'd be nice to see him knocked out and collect your money at the same time.

 

As boxing fans we all have our opinion as to who will or should win on past form,skill levels etc.But fifty years of experience tells me never underestimate the"lucky punch"!

No chance Fury wins this, he'll have his hands down baiting Haye and will take one too many overhand rights. Stoppage at the mid stage

 

Internal warrior spirit, really? This is boxing not ninja turtles. You mean he is willing to fight dirty and maul against smaller, more skilled opponents?
If he can do that the entire fight he'll stop Haye late. But it seems more likely Haye repeatedly lands huge right hands as Fury tries to close the gap, until Fury's 'Internal warrior spirit' is extinguished.
