The guy look very promising in the Super 6 tournament and after the Arthur Abraham fight the guy has been inactive. I understand that he took time off since the incident that happen in the Arthur fight but after that the guy hasn't done anything. He fought earlier this year against an opponent he defeated with ease but after that I haven't heard any news on this guy? Anyone got any good or bad news the from this guy?
took pics with him in Vegas at the Floyd-Ghost fight. Acrtually it was the night before when his brother was fighting across the street. Looked in great spirits
He was supposed to have fought Ossie Duran a few months ago but pulled out at the last minute. (Duran went on to face Matt Korobov - his ninth unbeaten opponent - and got stopped for the first time in his career)
Hope he stays retired, no matter how you slice it. If the brain injury was legit, he needs to stay retired for his own safety and long-term health. If the brain injury was a sham, his lack of fortitude to come back shows he doesn't have the drive/heart to compete at the top level. Either way, Andre's done. He seems happier away from the ring, best to stick to that.
Shaw Hi happened... I certainly believe we will see him fight again. And undoubtedly the term tomato can will be perfectly exemplified again.
Had a lot of skill and raw talents; speed, agility, power etc but clearly wasn't about this life. He's now slid into Dirrellevance.
He's a basket case and he was long before Abraham clocked him. I saw him fight in Grand Rapids when he was amateur. Even then he had Roy Jones esque talent, but whether he was getting staggered by his early opponent, or he was sprinting away from Curtis Stevens in blind terror, flopping to the canvas against Froch, falling apart against AA despite a massive lead, or pulling out of fights against foes who posed no threat, he a certified weirdo. On the basis of natural talent he far superior to Ward and possibly Calzaghe too. But clearly heart and brain power matter more than speed. He used to be a threat to be the GOAT super middleweight. Now he's a none factor who gets a threat devoted to him on here every two weeks.
