Nobody gets stopped in this fight . Floyd does not have enough pop to get a stoppage against Canelo . Canelo is not winning via stoppage either because Floyd is going to fight a cautious defensive fight . Im pretty sure by now Floyd envisioned himself many times as Trout when Canelo nearly knocked him out after dropping him with just "1" punch in rnd 7 and says "Hell no , thats not happening to me" Very likely This fight will not be exciting . But i hope im proven wrong .

you can make a case that canelito coasted because the fight was won before it even started by gbp paying off Christodoulou(there is absolutely no way that anyone could have scored canelito 9-0 after eight rounds) and Shellenberger with alvarez knowing that if he made it to the final bell that he would win.

but then again you have to look at the mosley fight where the 147-pound shane took everything that saul could dish out and still was only outthrown by 10 total punches in rounds 10-12.

weight will absolutely have nothing to do with the outcome of this fight and other than an early knockdown canelito has much less chances that the 2-1 current odds offer.

in fact, I believe that the 7-1 odds of Floyd koing alvarez is a better bet solely due to the fact that Floyd knows that trout was robbed on the cards.

It was a competitive fight but there was never any doubt who the winner was going to be midway through. I'm talking about that when the fight goes to the championship rounds we still don't know who's gonna come out on top. That is what I mean.

almost knocked him out in the seventh round?

you mean the round where trout went on to out throw canelito by 20 punches and canelo only outlanded trout by one single punch?

is that the round where you think trout was almost knocked out in?

perhaps you need to watch that round again.

*****s? nah dude haters stated floyd would run from canelo then when the fight got signed he became "gasnelo" ... anyone who thinks canelo is not the biggest threat to floyd and the best fight to be made is ******ed

    strong true 154 champion
will come in likely 20+ lb heavier then floyd
floyd does not look good at 154
    floyd is past prime
    canelo is primed

    looks dangerous to me

Castillo had never once been dropped until he faced Hatton. All those loses were on cuts. Idiot!

Floyd is at his best vs aggressive, come forward fighters; you see Canelo recently take his time and not rush any ko's. Matter of fact he lets off the gas and goes the distance instead. I really don't think Canelo's stamina issue is really even an issue. Canelo has been transformed from one dimensional, heavy handed slugger to a versatile boxer-puncher, but will bang inside and mix it up mid range and long range. Canelo's footwork is so overlooked and underrated and those whistling hooks he throws from time to time are so quick and devastating Floyd will have to work overtime on this one. Helluva fight.

I agree that Canelo will be a challenge for Floyd initially ... however, if Floyd tastes his power and can deal with it, I might have to call a knockout via a bodyshot from Floyd ... Im thinking 10th rd
