Canelo will be in shape to go 12 rounds and will impress in this fight. What few in the USA understand is that he really knows Floyd style as he has emulated it in many fights in Mexico...the shoulder tuck...fighting off the ropes (saw this against Trout too).

The best boxers he has faced are Miguel Vazquez twice and Trout so he is not so inexperienced as some would say.

His biggest weakness was that he cut weight without proper nutrition and training so lets see what happens.

I don't expect Canelo to win or get a draw but I do expect him to do better than cotto as canelo is two handed and smarter than him.

Where are you getting this about throwing more punches wins you a fight? You gotta land them first bro. Canelo was making a world class technician like Trout miss over and over again and even looking silly at times. Trout threw 5-6 punch combinations he was only landing 1 or 2 at the most. Check that vision bro.

the fact of the matter is that its hard to believe that a fighter is almost getting knocked out like you said trout was when Austin went on to out-throw canelito by 20 punches and alvarez only outlanding trout by one punch.

those are not the puch stats that describe a fighter about to get knocked out. vanes knocked down trout in the amatuers and it was no different than what happened in the canelito fight.

and i don't think anybody describes trout as a "world-class technician."

Austin trout is a solid, proven middleweight without power who was down 4-0 after four rounds on all the scorecards and knew that he would need a ko to win, something he had only done once in his last nine fights.

like I said, I think Floyd winning by ko has just as much chance of happening as canelo beating Floyd...even if gbp is able to get to the judges like he did in the trout fight.

    Robert is easy work.

    Victor is easy work.

    Canelo will be tough.

130 rounds sounds like too much.

:blood Neither the # of rounds he spars nor his current weight nor what he eats have any bearing on how advantageous this match-up is stylistically.

    Easy work.
Canelo is a good fighter but he doesn't have the stamina, footwork, or workrate to trouble Mayweather. He also needs to plant his feet to throw bombs, Mayweather will pick him apart.

I wish it were not true but you are right. I am a mayweather fan but I still would like to see him in a fight that is close but this one won't be it.

  9. Oh yeah of course. Having a bad diet. Not sparring. Or keeping an eye on his weight will have little effect on how prepared he is on fight night

    That isn't what I said.

Even in tip-top shape and 100% prepared, Canelo is still easy work if Mayweather brings his best.

  11. Do you think there's any chance Floyd hits the canvas in this fight at least once?

I wouldn't say its impossible :think

both fighters will be their best on fight night.

to think that canelito has been taking it easy and has another level that hes been saving for this special occasion deserves and emoticon not listed on the side ledger.

let me buy you a clue.

canelito went into the Rhodes, mosely and trout fight in the best shape possible and tried to knock out each guy who all went twelve rounds.

to think otherwise also deserves an emoticon not listed on the side ledger.

wish people would forget about "haters" and stuff and just see the fight for what it is. A great one, one of the biggest fights for a long time.

Floyd will always be the favorite but I think Alvarez is the best possible opponent out there, if he wins he can retire on a high. But theres something about Canelo, I can see that natural gift in him, for the first time in a whilst im excited for a Mayweather fight.

    Highly unlikely.

It was technically possible for Tata Baldomir to knock Mayweather on his ass.
