Nate Campbell, Guzman, Mosey when he was begging for the fight

Every fighter in history has people we wished they faced at this time or another. Pac is no different.

so true that is the reason Floyd is on my list of the best ever. Because NO ONE does what he does in the ring. To watch him fight is to see a true master at his best, I have been watching boxing for over 20 years and I have never seen a boxer with his talent. I do think there are a few fights he should have taken that could have helped his legacy. But that does not change the FACT that he is far better than anyone who has been in the ring for many years.

I completely agree with this! :good

One thing that confuses me is, FMJ could've have won against Pac if the fight was made. As per so many articles and boxing analysts, he would outbox Pacquiao, he is clearly a bigger guy, and Pac has been exposed by so many fighters ang Mayweather could've exploited those Pacquiao weaknesses....so instead of fighting him....he chose to accuse and clean up the sport of boxing :hi:

so Pacquiao went on to fight Marquez 4x....and people say Pac is ducking Mayweather :nut:rofl

its just boxing politics, to many obsticles to get the fight made neither guy wanted the fight very much. And you are right it makes no sense it would have been a great fight for both guys. too late now

    Read my post. Read yours.

Who supplied actual verifiable data, rather than circumstantial speculative inference?

    Who clearly stated their case?

Who proved lacking in objectivity? (me a ***** - OK )

Oh dude, I'm such a ***** - claiming Tszyu would have possibly beaten him if circumstances had allowed such a meeting - and saying he did blatantly duck a hugely lucrative (in MSG, with Cotto at the peak of his popularity, this could have been massive) unification with prime undefeated Cotto.

    Shut it ***** :nono

Floyd DID drop the ball on the Cotto fight. He was there for the taking too after barely beating Mosley. Shame, that fight would have been fcukin' huge :verysad

Pacman for me, enjoyed his fights a lot more than Floyds.

Floyd retiring when the 147 division was stacked made me lose respect for him, that was/should have been his time to shine on another level.

Honestly, I never enjoyed watching Pacquiao. :conf

His style blended nicely with that of his great Mexican rivals' (Morales', Marquez's and Barrera's) but on its own never did much for me and in fact turned me off at times.

Skills and the mastery of those skills is what sets fighters apart. It's what separates the elites from the greats and the greats from the all time greats. Pac is a great fighter but there is nothing about him that separates him from any other great fighter. Mayweather on the other hand is an ATG Because there is not a fighter out there today that can do what he does. He is a master boxer and ring technician. His boxing IQ is second to none in this era and his shoulder roll defense has been copied by others. That's the key, the ATGs has something unique in their fight game that is copied by others. As for respect, I respect both fighters for who they are and the respect is equal. However, I think that Mayweather is the better all around fighter and complete boxer. He is the ATG and not just the great.:deal
