That match up would suit both fighters with plenty of banter for a while now between the two. Both fighters have plenty to gain from this, For Curtis it is a nice stepping stone towards more high profile fights and for Tommy it would firmly establish his profile on the scene and set up a crack at Crolla or Rees
I think Derry will venture elsewhere. I think he knows Coyle is a bloody good fighter and it's going to take a massive amount of money to make him risk it again. Derry will want big fights from here on in. I don't blame him..
Yeah I agree with that, think he will look else where and I for one wouldn't blame him either.. there's big fights out there domestically for him that he is right in the picture for. No disrespect to Derry, yes he's only 29 but he has been around for what seem's like forever now and has been in some great tough fights.. surely his body isn't going to be able to last doing that for a great deal longer? As much as most of us probably wish it can because he's gave plenty all action fights. I think he should look to move on from Coyle and look for the biggest fights out there.. that mean's Crolla 3, Mitchell, Murray etc. Derry has came up short before whilst putting in good performances.. yet never received a rematch, he doesn't owe Coyle any favours. As for Coyle though, I'm sure he will bounce back from the weekend's defeat as a much better fighter. Was very impressed with him.
Oh yeah, I was devastated. Had a 10er double derry ko and kell ko I might not like derry but i do like a bet won 90 quid, totally devastated :rofl
oh that old chestnut, the old phantom bet, very common on esb. all youve done is big coyle up and slag derry off but on fight night you put your child benefit on derry? sure you did x
