Puts new depth in the term idiotic. a) where's the definitive proof Ike doped? b) what is the difference in power, whether it be enhanced through steroids or natural? I do know, and have felt, the difference in power between a 180 pounder and a 230 pounder. That is real and very easily recognized, tho many here will deny it exists.
Oh did he? I can tell by the way he backed to the ropes and didnt throw a punch. Plenty in the tank. I`ll say this for Tua. If Marciano decides to back up to the ropes and freeze up and doesnt move or throw any punches. David has a good chance. He might go the distance.
Yes, he did. He fought 10 more fights after getting cold ****ed by Tua; Jeffries fought none. He KO'd Jirov in a tough contest, a fighter who, head to head, is more formidable than most, if not all, of Jeffries' best scalps. Ask a stupid question...
I was present at two Tua camps, talked to many others outside the camp, including opponent camps, regarding him and his career. Never were PED's mentioned. Never a suspicion or innuendo. Please enlighten me.
I have always been consistent in saying that Jeffries was pretty far gone when he met Johnson, but even at that dilapidated stage of his career he still turned up to win, and was in the fight for a good number of rounds.
It cant be proved ,so why bother to ask. Its assumed...Enchanced power is not real power..Look at all the shots landed clean by Ike. Tua was never rocked and finished the fight without swelling, cuts and looked like he done a sparring session..Byrd took his best and was tko'd on his feet.......Ive trained with huge jucied guys and saw them quit during a S&C session because they hadn't the power to continue, while small welter sized guys powerd thru like it was a stroll thru the park.
I guess that is a hell of a natural growth on his 5'9-5"10 body....how come Heavyweights did not do that in the 40's 50's and 60'70's I guess natural growth did not exist back then http://www.odt.co.nz/sport/boxing/99993/boxing-tua-takes-points-victory-over-ahunanya
Everyone who watched it on tv/the internet scored it for Holyfield. Almost everyone who saw it in live had it for Valuev, including Ring. Fights aren't scored on television/the internet.
I'll agree that the overly yoked sort tend to crap out in intense sessions of even moderate length, and are hardly ever the athletes they "appear" to be. However, Ike had ridiculous stamina and output. I would have to look at his other fights but he certainly didn't gas against Tua, Wilson, and didn't really have to time to do so against Byrd.
