Fights that first exposed a fighters glass chin

What are some fights that you can think of that showed that this particular fighter has a glass chin, whether they won or lost. Pretty much a foreshadowing to what would come later in their career when they get knocked out.

I've always wondered if Thomas Hearns and Terry Norris were involved in fights that first showed that their chins were weak prior to their first knockout loss?

Chinny is an interesting thing...Some fighters with solid chin reputations have been KO'ed more than guy with rep for a bad chin. I cannot point to one fight. A fighter has to show himself prone to flash knock downs throughout his prime. KO's are different because most of the time Great fighters don't KO'ed much in thier primes, it is usual way after their best days are over when they start getting put out.

Trinidad is considered chinny. He has been in the deck four times, Cortez, Stephens, Campos and Carr. That was it. He was stopped on his feet by Hopkins, incidentally the only time he was KO'ed.

Joe Louis. Was down nine times. That is alot. But he was only KO'ed twice. He is definately chinny but, I think he also has a good chin, oxymoron I know. When he went down, it was usually a flash knock down, and the point was further made once he got up and immediately restarted beating on his opponent.

 

Archie Moore? Wasn't he down in a large majority of his fights? Can't tell you which because he's not my specialist subject.

Ace Hudkins KO4 Ruby Goldstein.

Goldstein was a murderous little puncher whom many thought was going to take Benny Leonard's place as lw champ when Leonard retired. The savage "Nebraska Wildcat" ended that dream.

Bob Pastor KO8 Lem Franklin

Many thought "Lammin' Lem" was a harder puncher than Joe Louis. Trouble is, he had a chin like Mike Weaver.

 

He had over 200 bouts, and no he was not knocked down in over a 100 of them...

some people are chinny or head shot weak like the 6"8 David Price, Patterson blacked out quite frequently.


Some guys are off balance or dont react well when hit and panic and they don't have the cool of an Ali who wobbled and staggered but you thought it was a joke
