I am sorry maybe this was posted already somewhere, I have been out of town and hadn't checked the forum in a few days. So Main event: Canelo-Floyd Co: Main Event:??? undercard:???? undercard:??? Non-Televised:??? Or is it too early to tell?.... Thanks
bait and switch....interesting. :think get some people to buy tickets, then take garcia-matthysse fight out and make them fight at another time and make money from there too...clever move. i still think that gbp/especialy showtime are putting garcia-matthysse fight on to ensure a healthy ppv buy. showtime has to have lost a little faith in floyd's drawing power when his ppv reportedly didn't pass over the million mark.
Officially there is no undercard at all. The only fight that is for sure is Alvarez and floyd. Lot of maybe allmost done but nothing concrete.
misleading....ticket brokers bought all the tickets, and lots of them still has a lot of tickets for sale. stub hub alone i see has about a thousand tickets left ranging from 1200 to 27000 dollars. by gbp dangling matthysse-garcia in there, it's going to help with promotions and ticket sales and ad sales...and they could pull it back out once their desired result is reached. again, matthysse-garcia fight alone can stand on it's own and make money. if gbp/showtime is going to leave it as an undercard, i suspect their reason is that they are not that confident in floyd's drawing power anymore.
Plus they still want people to buy the PPV at home. I'm buying the fight regardless, but I would prefer they put that fight on its own card. It's just another date to watch boxing. Canelo vs mayweather is enough to see the fight alone, anything more is just a cherry on top that's not going to sway many who weren't going to buy to buy.
GBP has already sold all of their tickets within days. How is this hard to understand. Ticket brokers and stub hub have no control over the Garcia fight.
