Dawson had no LHW pedigree and had lost to Pascal, Calzaghes wins over SMW champs Eubank, Reid, Woodhall, Veit, Mitchell, Brewer, Lacy, Kessler and even wins like Bika, Mkertchyan, Starie, Sheika were better

Slapsie, due to the fact its a newer division and no too many to choose.

    Bailey,

Around the time 1998-2002 would you call LHW tougher than SMW?

Calzaghe hands down, he mocked America's so called elite in Jones Jr and Hopkins.

It doesn't matter, I was just using an example of styles.

I was saying that, if Benn struggled with Malinga, (who wasn't a huge southpaw) then he'd have no doubt struggled with Roy.

If Malinga had've been a huge southpaw, you could have said that's why Benn struggled with him and got a gift. But he obviously wasn't, and Roy was better than Malinga, even though he didn't have Malinga's jab like you've mentioned.

So, if he got a gift against a guy who you say wasn't very good, then he'd have had a nightmare with Roy.

I agree, I think it would have been a late TKO for Roy.

Is it not pretty much well known that DM turned down a double header on a card with Roy Jones here in America to help build up the fight?

Yep, and why the **** would he have done that?

Apparently he didn't want to play second fiddle to Roy, even though every belt at 175 was up for grabs and $5M.

Strange how DM was offended, but was happy to fight guys like Joey De Grandis instead.

Hopkins' elite boxing skills were put on display against Roy Jones in 93.. Roy was a very popular fighter at that time due to the Olympics.

    Yep..

DM could claim the belts all he wanted, but the fact of the matter is, Roy unified all of them, and they were around his waiste, and DM was not going to get them unless he beat Roy.

Lineal doesn't always mean you are the man..

Especially when the world recognized P4P best fighter collected all the major belts in your weight class.

This hurts DM's legacy more than it does Roy's.
