Biggest Title Fight Beatdowns of the last 10 years?

Anyway, first one that springs to mind is Calzaghe Lacy

 

I have to agree that it was a pretty serious whoopin'. Ajose was game, but he was getting pulverized every time his back went to the ropes. It was :!:

 

Mosley/Margarito

 

Floyd vs Gatti

 

Ajose is as game and tough as they come, but it was a pretty sustained beating he took that night, still can't believe he stood up to some of the shots that he did.

 

I feel like Calzaghe-Lacy is one of the most discussed fights OF ALL TIME in brittardland. You see the poster for it in the background on the brit telecast LOL.

They are SERIOUSLY proud of taking out a prospect who no one knew and no one knows now.

The Gatti beat down by Floyd is pretty bad and no matter how many times you watch it looks like it get's worse. Manny beat down of Barrera in San Antonio was pretty bad too and to this day I never Marco take an ass whooping like he did in the first fight with Manny.

mayweather vs gatti and vitali vs danny williams

 

I consider a beatdown a prolonged beating. One in which you show all your skills and strengths and no matter what approach you take, there's nothing the opponent can do to counteract it.

Chavez-Camacho, Calzaghe Lacy, Vitali-Arreola, Vitali-Peter, Pacquiao vs MAB, DLH, Cotto, and Margarito.

Generally quick pulverizing KO's I'd say are steamrolls and not realy beatdowns.

Though it ended early, Mayweather-Gatti type fights I consider a beatdown as its a fight where skill is displayed before the boom is lowered.

Can only think of two Mayweather fights to call beatdowns, the Gatti and Corrales fights, other than those he's very much content to play it safely and not go for the gusto thats very much a part of what I'd call a beatdown.

 

Vitali - Briggs was way too much.

 

I don't think anything compares to floyd vs gatti. Gatti was not in that fight for 1 second, it was complete annihilation.

Let me guess you're yank who is trying to pretend that all the yank pricks weren't saying that Lacy was the second coming of Mike Tyson and he would destroy Calzaghe in 3 rounds.. haha

Now it's no one knew him... haha it was you thick ****s who were hyping him up to death. That's what made it even sweeter to watch.
