In his prime I ask? I think Floyd wins but canelo is a very relaxed fighter .. He thinks well .. Fight will be won in last 3 rounds this the toughest fight in boxing

Floyd has faced every fighter you can. when you fight 44 times you seen everybody. Just been awhile since he fought somebody like Canelo. whos gonna come, not throw to wildy, try pick his spots and not back down at all.

That said i will never in my lifetime (or anybody's) ever see Mayweather lose 7 rounds. not gonna happen. so for Canelo to win he needs a knockdown (which has never happened to Floyd, took a knee one time) or a KO against a top 5 defesive fighter ever.

I think it will be a classic because Canelo will make him fight but i dont see him winning. all in all, great for the sport and everybody else. Kudos to both guys signing

since when the good jab is an attribute of a puncher?

good figher/brawler is more of a good puncher than someone ho is using good jab
for example is Winky Wright a good puncher because he definitely had good jab?

I think the fact that Canelo is so relaxed is a disadvantage...he can ill afford to be too patient against a technician like Floyd...the way he waits until his opponents to stop punching before he returns fire is not gonna get it, Canelo is not an all out pressure fighter, he tries to conserve his energy and then explodes with combos...

He if thinks having his training camp in big bear is gonna better his stamina and allow him to fight 3 minutes of every round he's gonna gas and lose a wide decision...I don't think he should try changing his style to that pressure type approach...better stay within himself and focus on landing and hard combo or a hard single shot that hurts Floyd...its gonna be hard or near impossible to catch Floyd in an exchange seeing Floyd only throws single shots or two at the most and immediately gets back on defense...

I just see Floyd pot shotting this kid all night and expect Canelo to fatigue trying to track Floyd down and missing big power combinations...

Well it's definitely Oscar, of course, Oscar was more than 5+ yrs removed from his prime. Mosley was never a jabber, but liked to use a style called "powerboxing". Like Oscar, Mosley also many years removed from his prime, but he aged better than Oscar and still was good enough to be the best welter at the time before Floyd beat him. And I'd say finally after Mosley Judah was the 3rd best boxer puncher, tho not on the level of an Oscar or Mosley, Judah was a lot closer to his prime. Oscar, Mosley, and Judah in that order. H2h tho, I gotta say this improved version of Çanelo, with his newly found defense, is going to be much tougher than any boxer-puncher Floyd has ever faced for the simple reason Floyd has never fought any fighter with any type of defense. This is going to be a more technical fight than most think, but it will have spurts of action.

when you drop people with your jab, like miguel cotto did to gomez and clottey...that's a good indication.

All this talk all the time about when he fought someone like cotto or mosley or oscar, they were not in their prime.
Cotto is 4 years younger than floyd.
Mosley and oscar where younger when they fought floyd, than floyd is now. Floyd is fighting a 22 year old at 36. If they were past their prime when Floyd fought them. then floyd is past his prime now right? But floyd keeps winning and they lost or retired. So does Mayweather get any credit for continuing to dominate PAST HIS PRIME!!!

DLH was better. But I think Canelo will give Floyd some problems.....similar to how Cotto knocked out a few corners when he locked horns with Floyd.
