I think it's fair to say all of us were impressed with him in his fight with Ricky and without this descending into a "he has no heart" or "Burns was schooled" thread, I am just wondering if anyone has seen anything regarding his injury? And when we can expect to see him out again?

I'll be a keen watcher in his next bout.

I'm looking forward to seeing him in the future as well defintley one i'll look out for .Just checking the scene just now for any news but got an old thread just after the Burns fight saying he says health is more important .It says he says we always have heart we are Puerto Rican and we go out to fight .He gets slated in the thread though somebody saying he should be checked for Andre Dirrell syndrome .His first 12 rounder in Scotland ( the lions den ) .I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt . Showed some quality skill .

Guy was a class operator great skill but no injury

I would assume he'll be out for a while, then probably have a comeback fight before fighting a fellow contender, they should stick him with Crawford

Hopefully he recovers from his injury. Was massivly out-classing Burns until he had to retire.

He wasn't massively outclassing Ricky at all, rest assured Ricky overtrained plain and simple and still won, there was no injury IMO.
I've said before if the two meet again it would be the same result but way more convincing

You say a lot of things Billy.

If you really don't think your boxer was being outclassed you are doing him and yourself a massive disservice as you are hiding from the problem rather than addressing it.

Breidis Prescott was brutally outclassing Mike Alvarado before gassing and getting stopped in the final round, look what Alvarado went on to do, people have bad nights

Chelo quit because he couldn't take it, part of being a world level operator is fighting through injury/adversity (like Burns did on the night, and if there was indeed an injury at all) Joe Calzaghes hand had swollen to the size of a beach ball it was broken so badly during his fight against Evans Ashira but he bit on his gumshield and fought through to the finish, as have MANY others. If he couldn't even bring himself to try and coast through the final rounds then he doesn't have what it takes to be champion, ergo he deserved to lose, ergo, he lost, because he quit, because he didn't want it badly enough

skill/talent is only one piece of the puzzle

I'm well aware of the issues from that fight and we addressed them,I think I'm in a far better position than yourself to know what's right and wrong for my fighters thank you, read blackberrys post there's a guy that understands boxing/boxers unlike yourself with respect

Probably back to PR to regroup.

He never even got to main event status at home before going abroad for the shot at Burns.

He fought on the Juan Ma Lopez vs. Adilmar Santos undercard and the Vazquez vs. Oquendo/Fuentes vs. Calderon undercard but otherwise has barely even been televised domestically. It's very probable his profile is higher among UK boxing fans than PR.

His next big payday (relatively to challenging Burns) might be a return visit.

I will repeat myself for the benefit of you solaris, I know Ricky never performed against Gonzalez but he showed something you can't train someone to have BOTTLE.
You Solaris have a very limited knowledge of boxing and no knowledge of what's requires to produce a championship boxer I do, so you are hardly in a position to be critical towards me now are you?
I can take criticism and take it well if it's constructive which yours isn't and never is.
