David Reid has to be up there. A lot of hype around him.

Breland and Shields were certainly busts in terms of the expectations for them when they turned pro.

  5. Jeff Lacy.

I also think Naz should be mentioned, for all the **** he spoke about becoming a legend and being up there with Ali. The fashion he got owned by MAB and the way he disappeared off the face of Earth for about 8 years with pretty much next to no interviews or disclosure on his career. Bad shitty way to go out if you ask me... only 27 too.

Nah, Golota came from no where and didn't have that many expectations and hype on him. He actually managed to impress and over achieve (and yet disappoint with his self destructions) for most people. Michael Grant, Audley and Price are the biggest most recent lemons. Helenius should also be seriously considered.

Yeah former World Amateur and Olympic gold medal who did next to nothing in the pro ranks. Massive disappointment.

    Zou Shiming soon to be...

Price as the most recent example..

I would say Zab Judah, but he couldn't have been to much of a bust become the undisputed Welterweight champion and 5 time champion in 2 divisions..

Khan is another one.. he became a unified champion and was nearing the p4p ranks.. but he was supposed to be the next big thing in British boxing and failed doing so.
