He has a fighter about to go into his first match up in almost a year, who has been messed about wiTh fights during that time and the one guy who he is closest too and relies on to back him starts mentioning potential doubts? You have no idea what it takes to train someone. It's sad your hobby is winding up people really isn't it.

Why not constantly barrack every trainer that has realised come fight time something's not right with their fighter? Answer me that...or I'd it because there are none here or actually you just want to troll Billy? Which one please.

 

I've seen a lot of your posts on this forum and it's very clear you're a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Clearly using logic is beyond your grasp and as such I give up. If you cannot read between the lines and understand my posts I suggest you put down the colouring books and go and read a dictionary.

 

I just think that Ricky/billy/everyone under rated Gonzalez and didnt know enough about him to really look good against him, we hadn't seen enough of him. Ricky was obviously doing the right thing of trying to dominate with and establish his jab for the first few rounds but he was over reaching and coming in too straight on without enough feinting, like a fighter that's not fought in a long time and is fighting in front of his home crowd often does at the start of a fight in excitement.

Gonzalez was actually a very awkward and high class operator with freakish reach and long arms with great reflexes. He was just timing Burns so well but clearly was the inferior athlete in the end and certainly doesn't have even half the heart and desire that burns has not to mention chin! Gonzalez hit burns with everything and burns just smiled and kept coming forward, but the defining punch of the fight was one of the few shots that burns did land, that upper cut in the last round which seemed to take everything away from Gonzalez.

People need to remember this is hardly the first time a fighter has been in charge of a fight before being stopped or quitting on their stool Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, hatton etc. all had a few got-out-of-jail fights and they were all great champions and legendary fighters. Boxing isn't as simple as having to win every round of very fight or dominate every opponent to be considered great, in a few years gonzalez could be undisputed lw champion and it may be burns best ever win!

 

There's a few trainers on here but I'm yet to see anyone talk as much **** as Billy.

 

I watched Burns Chelo yesterday he was tiring .Billy was saying to Burns a couple of rds earlier he's starting to tire Ricky . Agree don't think he was badly injured , gassed. Looking forward to seeing him again though think he will be world champ .Also think he deserves the benefit of the doubt first 12rs with all the Scottish fans in the lions den.
