Im speechless for this one....Chaves was one hell of finisher, aggressive and always moved forward, But DLH was no joke, the only thing you have to agree with is that he lost all his biggest fights..Mosley, Mayweather, Tito, Hopkins, Manny..We are talikin about two of the best fighters ever!...:bbb:boxer:jjj

I tend to prefer Julio at lightweight, he showed both ends of the ability spectrum in his short stay, the Tidal wave aggression against Rosario and the beautiful Back-foot matadoring against Jose Luis Rameriez, at 140 he just did not seem as destructive and was much more of a "Slow Poison" albeit still smooth and a beautiful to watch mechanic,

Oscar on the other hand at 140 was i feel great at this weight, at Welter he started to struggle in class company, of course thats also a tribute to they company he was keeping, but at 140 i feel Oscar is the nearer of the two to maximum capabilities, and this for me shifts the balance Oscar's way, his style speed strength and combinations would i feel usually leave Julio a somewhat frustrated pursuer, prone to being countered on the way in...and finding oscar pivoting away to a new position when he tries to respond, The edge lies with Oscar here i feel, barring cuts ...on points..

The Chavez of 1990, 1991 beats Oscar all day. He'd make Oscar fight and Oscar would fold up in a fight.

Oscar did not have the stamina to keep Julio off him all night.

Chavez takes him deep and he crumbles.

    Chavez by KO

Oscar wins, his power at 140 would be the undoing JCC

I think this was De La Hoya's best weight, and he would have been too physically large for Chavez. But the 1990ish version of Chavez may have indeed found a way.
