Lets have some more diverse and interesting responses instead of 'tyson' 'dempsey' e.c.t.

    Post pictures if you can!

There a couple years where Pipino Cuevas was feared as a legitimate bonebreaker, until Randy Shields ruined the illusion.

Steve Collins wasn't necessarily a guy who inspired fear from a threat of actual violence, but his obsession with hypnosis and the mental side of the game unnerved a lot of guys.

Jack Johnson was very good at intimidating his opponents, but he came at it from a different direction. Instead of an intimidating stare, he used a smile tinged with sarcasm and insincerity. He treated his opponents as if they were a joke and he could afford to be polite to them.

When Joe Frazier [somebody familiar as an intimidating fighter himself prior to Foreman] was asked at ringside who Duran reminded him of, the inquirer was asking a leading question, expecting Joe to name himself. But after looking long and hard at El Cholo, then considering the question carefully, Frazier unexpectedly upped the ante:

    "Charles Manson."

    Marciano:

"If Carmine Vingo had died, I would have retired."

Duran [after Ray Lamkin, in a post fight interview on ABC with a horrified Chris Schenkel]:

"If I'd been in shape, he'd be on his was to the morgue, not the hospital."

It has always been attitude and reputation with me. I mean mug with a disrespectful manner goes a long way to intimidate me. I ultimatley rise to the occassion but a few guy that I would not want to deal with in the street are

Rocky Graziano: Forget the fun loving guy in his 50's who wrote the book. The guy who was the book was a mean SOB from the East Side who would not hesitate to punch a guy in the face at anytime anypace.

James Toney: Say what you want, he is as about a street mean looking a guy as you will see. On top of that he was disrespectful of his opponents.

Vitali Kitschko: If he were to get serious with you on the street, I think looking at his opposing size and understanding that there nothing I could do with man would be intimidating.

Edwin Valero certainly seemed to have that "Äura" about him,
the Unbeaten Rubin Olivares had that Mexican Bandit - Smiling Assassin look to other Bantams

Roberto Duran of course - Maniacal Stare, Black Haired, Black Eyed, Black Hearted Demon from Hell

Rubin Hurricane Carter...Looking Like a muscled mongolian Warrior...

A young Bad Bennie Briscoe...particularly in philly you knew you had a war on your hands

Duran should have been on the list of fighter the we already know. I love your Carter and your Briscoe and I will raise you a Hagler. Ripped to perfection, no games, no surrender. You will be fighting a long time.

Tex Cobb. Whatever happens your night is gonna be long.

Vitali is top spot for me though. Contempt just oozes from him, and that SOB is one big dude.

Max Baer was billed as a killer in his fights, he killed one person ripping their brain from their skull and he hit someone so hard in another fight than in that fighters next fight it only took a jab to kill them although it was reported that they had been suffering from meningitas of their brain.
