Fukkin love this guy.. From the Campillo post fight interview. Q. tell us about the knockout..what do you see (showing Kovalev replay of brutal 3 KD sequence)? SK. I see... I see only target. Prior to the White fight: Q. What is your strategy for the fight? SK. My strategy is simple - to punch my opponent as much as I can. The term laconic coulda been invented for this guy.
Just want to chime in and say that Kovalev is going to dominate Cleverly. Stunned by Cleverly taking on this fight.
Kovalev is a strong guy for sure and fun to watch. But lets be honest he is just a white hype job at this point. Lets see him in with better fighters. I like the style he fights. I just hope his skin holds up. Kovalev will indeed have a titlle at some point.
care to have a bet on that? i asked you a while back but you might not have seen it. so, what do you say? :think Cleverly will win this fight. :yep
Been a funny year this; somehow my three favourite guys - GGG, Kovalev and Lucas always seem to have had an upcoming fight. It's like as soon as one's done the next one is only a few weeks away. Like buses I suppose, not that I'm complaining - you can go a year without any fights you're particularly high on, then this... Between the 3 of them they've had 6 fights alreddy this year (5 of which have been TKO3s and 1 TKO7) 2 more made ( Cardiff and The ONE) and 2 more sorta promised. This is how boxing should be - 3-4 fights a year, not 1 or 2)
I know me too.... it's the most difficult fight he could have took . He could have gained credibility by taking on Braehmer, Shumenov, or Fonfara, they are fights he would have won, Cleverly is good, but Sergey 'the killer' Kovalev is next level
