Billy Joe Saunders potential

  1. world champion (WBA/WBO/WBC/IBF)
I watched all of Saunders' pro fights. And I also watched him a lot as an amateur, he was a world class amateur which usually indicates he will do well as a pro. I can see he's improving all the time. There's always usually 1 weak world champion in every weight division, I'd bet him to beat Quillin every day of the week, in 18 months he'll be ready for almost anyone. I know for a fact he doesn't lack power like some of you trolls are suggesting. It's just that the guys he's facing having granite chins I guarantee you O'Sullivan will never get stopped in his career, Saunders has 10 KO's from 18 fights all of those 10 KO's were in the first 2 rounds. I remember trolls doubting Froch's power - when he went a while just winning on points against Pascal, Dirrell, Johnson, Abraham... whoch was hilarious as Carl is a massive puncher. I see as similar thing here with peoples cooments on Saunders, although obviously he's not as big a puncher as Froch and he hasn't faced that level of opponent.. they did have have solid chins the guys he's been facing. Saunders is no Malignaggi.

I don't think he'd lose a single round to Quillin. I's also tip him to beat Geale right now. Though it's too early to put him in with Golovkin and Martinez.

I watch a lot of fights too. He was not comfortable getting hit by O sullivan. He could not even discourage Osullivan to stop coming forward. It is a far stretch to call saunders a guy on his way to the top. Let him fight just 1 fighter beyond domestic level before you crown him the next big thing at middleweight.

It doesn't matter if you sweep every round before getting KTFO...

    All of them?

Including 2009 and 2010? I can attest that everything from Hammond on was televised, and maybe a couple before that, but was everything from his debut onward really broadcast? There was that much hype surrounding him from the amateurs?

Hes highly skilled but aint a puncher (injuries to hands may be his problem there) but to say hes GBs best middle is ridiculous

    Best up and coming middle.

Best of the "brat pack" including Saunders, Ryder, Blackwell, Eubank Jr., Arron, Ochieng & Smith if they move up, etc.

Obviously all those kids are leagues behind the holy triumvirate of Martin, Barker and Murray.

Martin, Barker and Murray have graduated to world level. The rest are vying for top of the domestic heap, and right now Saunders looks the pick of the litter in that regard.

Martin, Barker or Murray would gobble him up and spit out the bones.

  9. yes every fight was televised on sky sports early on before ******s move to boxnation, him Degale and Gavin all turned pro at the same time and got a lot of hype everyone was comparing their performances.

    OK fair enough. :good

  11. I disagree, after Macklin just got destroyed by GGG he might be damaged goods , I would tip Saunders to win that one and also I think Barker is good but Saunders has more talent. Murray is clearly the number 1 UK middlewight, hopefully he wins a world title soon which he deserves.

Unless Murray faces GGG then so much for world Title. I agree that Murray is good and he did very well against Martinez but he needs to leave GGG alone.

  14. I agree I think that's the one fight he should swerve but I don't think he's the type to cleverly avoid anyone

he's got the talent, but i think peeps should hold off until we see a bit more of him.

when the amateurs all turned pro at the same time a few years back, he was the one that i had my eye on the most. so it's going to be interesting watching his rise up the ladder to higher level opponents.
