The Pacquiao that fought david diaz was the very best version of pacman to ever get in the ring... His skills had fully matured under roach by then and he was at the height of his boxing talents. It was also his first fight using Ariza for strength and conditioning and he was in his absolute physical prime for this fight...his perfect weight class. While he did look splendid against cotto and dlh at WW..the mass was a bit too much. His quickness, punching power, and especially punch output declined just a bit. At 135/140 he still had one-shot KO power and could throw 80-100 punches every single round. Castillo couldnt have mulled manny like he did floyd..he would have gotten blasted. He was also to slow to box effectively in the middle of the ring with a tornado like pacquiao. Pac by KO 10
Of course he looked like a God he fought slow punching bag with no skills or power David Diaz FFS! Pacquiao woulda gotten out box easily by the likes of Johnston,Mayweather and Casamayor.... David Diaz wouldn't had last more then 6 rounds against a Prime Castillo.:deal
The pacquiao that fought castillo was the same exact guy who blasted ricky hatton, DLH, and Cotto. He was just more effective at the 135 weight. Castillo would have gotten lit on fire dude.
Pac too fast for castillo. It would be a war until pac`s speed takes over. Castillo was a great inside fighter and a good boxer but he was no marquez. He would get sliced up while trying to get close to manny.
Although Castillo was the best Lightweight of the decade, I think styles favor Pacquiao in this one. I do not see Pacquiao stopping Castillo though and I wouldn't call someone crazy at all for picking Castillo.
Pac Void has been running from Pac for years now. Marquez had to hire the top steroid expert in the world who is also is the best at cheating the drug tests. He was in court and testified against his so-called friends to keep from going to prison. Marquez was still losing the fight except for a lucky punch. If not for Marquez' steroid expert, could have gone as far as he did?
The Castillo Pacman had been sparring is not even a glimpse of the powerhouse Castillo was in his prime. Tho stylistically I'd pick Pacquiao, you have to consider how weak David Diaz the champ Pacquiao fought compared to a PRIME Johnston, prime Casamayor, who's one of the best Cuban fighters in years, and none other than a prime Floyd Mayweather. Castillo lacked speed, what Pacman has in bunches, but 135 Castillo was close to unstoppable. Not your typical Mexican brawler, tho created in that mold, he had skill, iron chin, knew how to fight any style in front of him, whether they were speedsters, brawlers, technicians, punchers, etc. To give Pacman benefit of the doubt I think he'd pull a close, very close SD win over Castillo, gaining an early lead, but taking some lumps and bodyshots late in the fight. But to be honest Pacman would have ALOT of trouble with a prime Casamayor, Johnston, and definitely Mayweather and I see Castillo-Pacquiao more of a 50/50 fight. You just can't compare Pacquiao's work at 135 to what Castillo did there. LMAO!!! at the dude saying Castillo Pacman sparred is the same from 2002! Are you ******ed?
