He fought haye instead, the fight the public was demanding at the time. Wlad was actually being criticized for cherry picking chisora when that fight was signed. You were probably one of the kilt haters that was bashing wlad for signing to fight an unproven chisora.
All you Wlad haters have to resort to clutching at straws. "If this guy had power he'd beat Wlad...", "Wlad's lucky he didn't fight that guy...", "If Wlad fought Vitali's opponents...", blah, blah ****ing blah. The fact is for almost 10 years he's fought pressure fighters, pressure fighters with power, fast elusive fighters with power, crude bangers, technical boxers, short guys, tall guys, you name it and he's beat them all. So by all means keep coming up with this imaginary opponent who's got Wlad's number but until anyone comes even close to beating him, it's all just a fantasy.
Wlad could of fought him and Haye. Haye didn't come for a year later. Wlad pulled out a day before the fight.
Haye is a natural counter puncher, Wlad can't fight going backwards. so it wouldn't turn out like that... i'd favour Wlad to win, but Chisora does have a style (and the Heart) with his come forward brawling that would cause some problems for the big Klit. there is no way it would be easy or a walk over. damn, i wouldn't even be surprised if Del pulled the upset. lets hope that Del does get his chance with the younger brother. because, lets be honest here, there aren't too many fights out there for Wlad. this would definitely be interesting. take the test, Wlad! :hey
Pulled out with an injury then rescheduled the fight. Pulled out of 2nd date to fight haye in a massive unification fight. I bet you were happy that he signed to fight haye instead at the time.
you can't slate Wlad for pulling out of the second fight with Del Boy because we got the Haye fight instead. that's the one we all wanted to see. he deserves to be called out on the first fight pull out though. Steward did an interview about how Wlad wouldn't be ready for someone as tough as Chisora and how he didn't like the fight. he knew it could prove to be a bit of a banana skin so they pulled the fight. that's why Del spat water into Wlads face when he fought Vitali, because he was still upset about being out of pocket from doing a full training camp.
No proof of this injury exists. You dont get injured a day before a fight. Training camp is over by then. Proof does exist of his camp saying they didn't want the fight.
And lets not forget Wlad got saved by the bell in the tenth round when Peter floored him. Chisora would beat Wlads ass. After Wlad ducks Povetkin me will see who he fights. Pulev is going to lose his next fight so maybe Wlad will fight him. The fight Wlad really wants is Adamek. If he fights Povetkin which I don't think he will he is going to lose. In other words don't plan on watching Wlad vs Povetkin cause it aint going to happen.
