Who would you put Lomachenko in with on his debut

Guys who have had less than 10 pro fights.

Amateurs and the pros aren't the same.

 

What do you guys think how much will Broner and Mayweather fans like this young, promising talent?

Will they be cheering for him like they do with Golovkin, oops.

I mean these are the same guys who now watch these smaller guys because there are not talent in the hw division like in the good old days.:bbb

 

What are you trying to say?...I'm a Mayweather fan and I must be one the biggest fans on this board of both Lomachenko and Golovkin , this much before of the Proksa fight.

Broner, on the other side, I don't hate him, but I think it's only a good prospect with too much hype, actually is only an OK fighter with more circus than substance (a la Danny García, well...a bit better).

 

The writing is on the wall for fighters who get moved too quickly. You wanna see him end up like Andrew Maynard or Tyrell Biggs? Maybe Leo Randolph or Leon Spinks?

I would love to hear how you arise at the idea of Danny being associated with a circus, besides his dad. Danny wasn't fed BS fights, in fact he was suppose to be a showcase for Khan before he dumped him. No one should be bitter about Morales 2 either, because it was business. Morales wanted his rematch clause.

 

I'm as a big a Loma fan on here, but I think the kid needs to be handled sensibly. None of this "let's get him a title shot" after one or two fights ****.

Ideally let's get the kid in there with a variety of guys-- guys with stiff beards, guys that can punch a little, guys that can move, ect for 8-10 fights and then let's test his chops against the iron of whatever division he elects to campaign in.

 

Hopefully Usyk turns pro with him...

The article says nothing. The Ukrainian news source could very well just have looked at the speculation on this and other sites.

We already know that Loma went on a scouting mission to the States recently, Kovalevs manager Klimas was involved, though possibly just as someone with local knowledge, and a possible fight/fighter was named - which happened to be a TR slot.
Loma himself has said he's going to be signing soon, so it's not hard to put two and two together.

I am interested in the contract term and conditions tho, 'cos no matter how good he is as an Am, I find it hard to see a big promoter taking too huge a gamble until they are absolutely sure he'll perform as a pro.

He's scheduled for a 10 rd fight on October 12th, on the Bradley vs JMM card.

 

Well kinda academic now ain't it? The point I was making was that yes, we all 'expected' it but there was no hard evidence or dates given. I tend to be very sceptical of this kinda unverifiable report.

 

Someone who does not have a big punch/does not get late KO´s. Last thing you want is to find out that Lomachenko has stamina issues and gets KO´d because of it. If he runs out of steam then he has a better chance of surviving against someone with a respectable but not a threatening punch.
