Watching the fight (for the first time actually) Ward dominated with the exception of the KD, a sneaky inside uppercut that Ward just didn't see coming. Ward was actually pretty lucky the 4th was nearly over cos Boone nearly had him outta there in the last few seconds. Ward was definitely coy at the start of the fifth, but had regained his confidence by the end of the round and dominated 6.

I guess it's what you call a learning experience - a young, ****y Olympic Gold winner who thought he could just walk through anyone got brought down to earth, and taught a lesson which he doesn't appear to have forgotten.

I know that it was early in Boones career as well, but Darnell has since fought more future contenders and top 10s in 3 weight classes than most beltholders will fight in their careers. The guy's like the quintessential gatekeeper.

 

We're not glass jawed brits like TS and black fighters in general have weak chins ,but Ward is just half black, IMO Ward has a good chin , Boone is a big puncher who knocked Stevenson out, he also had Kovalev down .

black fighters don't have weak chins in general. They have chins that range from all over the spectrum from Hagler to Roy Jones. Overall, I'd say they just have average chins

 

Why actually watch fights and use critical thinking skills when you can just boxrec and troll like headgiver and team defeat?

 

i'm not doubting these guys have great chins, just pointing out that every nation has fighters with great/glass jaws.

where you are born doesn't give you a higher chance of having a great/glass jaw in the slightest.
