I won't hold my breath and expect him to come back and have a proper debate.

It is funny he was trying to argue that the WBO was as highly regarded as the other three belts at that time.:patsch

He has posted 2 links now that state Jones' belts were indeed regarded higher than the WBO..

It is like he picks and chooses what he feels is legitimate out of his links and disregards what doesn't fit his agenda.. When you bring it to his attention, he just calls you gay and goes on and on about how he is unbeatable in an argument.:rofl

He dragged me down to his level yesterday when we trading insults.

Nobody that knows anything about boxing would have ranked the WBO up there with the WBC, WBA and IBF.

    They still wouldn't today.

He really thought he'd owned me today with his post, but he can't counter my questions.

I don't think we'll hear much more from him.

Likewise with Foxy 01. He tried to be clever, but was schooled and sent packing.

    So that's 2 out of 3 eliminated.

Now only the boxrec warrior and king of spin remains.

His latest link even lists Roy's credentials that could put up a good argument for Roy holding the cards and that he had more negotiation power, but I noticed that part wasn't highlighted.

    Best five smw ever
    Jones

    Calz
    Toney
    Ward
    froch
But i think ward will pass joe. Mabe roy too . But roy will always be the better fighter. I think toney is better than joe too just didnt show it at the weight. Jones was in a league not many are in . Through his prime he was spectacular. Joe would be beaten fairly easy.

Lets get this straight jones never ducked anyone. He didnt go to germany because he was afraid of the judges. Jones beat everyone he had too or was around at the time. Its not his fault that he was just too good or so much better than the rest. Mayweather is going through thesame thing now. Apart frm pacman. Floyd need to fight him to prove a point. Pacman is not done by any means. He will destroy rios. He was winning the marquez fight he just got caught it happens. He won the bradley fight. Canelo has a shot at beating floyd. Im still going with floyd tho. But wouldnt supprise me if he kod mayweather. Any of you guys on these threads no anything about boxing?????????. Prove it

How will Roy pass Joe at SMW?:huh

I am not sure Ward will either, as he may move up too soon, perhaps he will be running from someone.

Joe's longevity at the weight, and resume of defeating top SMW fighters makes him a lock for the "greatest" That can't be denied.

But I agree, the "best" at the weight was Roy.. the things he did in the ring at that weight were and still unseen by anyone. He simply was not there long enough for his H2H ability to overtake Joe's resume, while at the same time Joe at his best, is also a H2H nightmare for almost anyone at 168..

I am not a poster that has to discredit what Joe or Roy did to elevate one or the other..

I can simply appreciate both of them as fighters, I take into account what both were able to accomplish, and truly miss their presence in the sport... Though I was only watching the last bit of Joe's fights live... I wish he was exposed to the average American fight fan earlier, because he was an exciting fighter.

Joe fought no one really . Hid best win is kessler. Lacy was never good. Eubank was not the same fighter. Come he fought guys like sako bika and manfrado was droped by reid . Frochs resume is better at smw. Tho i think joes is slightly better. Joe was a good fight but he was never a great fighter. The diffrence between roy and joe is that roy was special.

Special fighters dont come along too often. Roy was special. Ali was special. Ray leonard was special. Ray robinson was special. These guys had athletic gifts which take them above the really good fighters. Duran was special in a diffrent way. So was whitiker. These guys you see when they fight are diffrent

I didnt mean roy would pass joe he already is past joe. I ment ward could pass them both if he fights there enough. Not thats hes better than roy. But i think ward is better than joe.

When dealing with morons it would probably be a waste of time. The fool thinks the greatest S / Middle fight of all time was between two proven steroid cheats.

And the muppet wants to talk about irony.

His saving grace is he is so stupid he doesn't even know he is stupid.

He comes from a place where the people tried to bite the hand that fed them, but they got bitten back a lot harder by the Iron Lady.

How is this for idiocy? Call a miners strike in the middle of a summer heatwave, when everyone knew that coal of an equal or better quality could be imported at a lower cost from Poland, than paying these inefficient left wing agitators to produce it.

So Maggie smashed the unions, closed down the coal industry, sold off the Steel works, and turned the industrial north, into an industrial wasteland, because both the industries, and the people in them were surplus to requirements, but just too dense to see it.

    However I digress.

The above is just an example of the kind of imbecility that comes from that kind of person, as shown with his revisionist nonsense regarding Roid Jones, and his irrelevant 7 fight S / Middle career, in a thread asking who is the G.O.A.T. at 168.

Unless of course we are all to believe that Ben Johnson's record should still stand, or how about Lance Armstrong's Tour De France exploits?

Why not go all the way and say all proven PED users should be given an amnesty?

That way people like Loudon can justify their dick riding of cheats like Jones.:roll:

Foxy, I will reply to te parts actually about boxing.. I am sure Loudon will be firing back at you.

Do we have proof that Jones and Toney were both roided in this fight? and I am talking proof not speculation, because I can't dismiss an accomplishment based off of speculation.

Irrelevant? Roy clowned one of the best fighters on the planet at 168, and often had more sucess over the common opponent than Benn and Eubank, 2 sure top 5 168 lb fighters.. I would say he is totally relevant.

Again, you are being way too harsh on Roy.. Call it luck if you want, or smart lawyers, but for whatever reason, Roy was able to escape the steroid thing with minimal damage to his name, and minimal proof, hell, you can't even tell me what steroid he was taking, or what fights he was for sure on them, proof, not speculation... these are things we need to know, if we are going to outright dismiss someones accomplishments.

    Foxy,

If you'd got just half of my intelligence, you could consider yourself lucky!

You have made a complete **** of yourself!

Who comes on a forum and slags someone off because of where they live?

    Only a ******!

Your little insults have made you a laughing stock.

Sheffield invented stainless steel and sent it in bulk to London on a weekly basis!

It was also shipped all around the globe to make a variety of things, which you will have no doubt come across in your sad little life on MANY OCCASIONS!

Who would also be stupid enough to call me a Northern ****, while at the same praising Maggie, who was born in Grantham?

    Ha! How embarrassing!

No response then, on her stance regarding Mandella and Pinochet?

It's probably because you don't even know Pinochet is.

Back on topic, Roy was the greatest 168 fighter who's ever lived based on ability, so he deserves to be in this thread.

Your boy Joseph only takes the title on accomplishments only, because he DIDN'T have the ambition to move out of the division until his 15th year in 2008!

He will always have the best stats, because no other world class fighter is going to stay at 168 for nearly 15 years!

People are heaping praise on a guy who:

Said he wasn't looking for tough fights.

Said he'd like to fight Roy at 175, but then ended up staying at 168 to fight Brewer, Jiminez and Pudwell instead.

Said in 2004 "I know I have to fight in America, and up at 175. I've done all I can do here, and I need a new
    CHALLENGE!"

Said in 2004 "I know I can take my speed up and cause a lot of problems, I'll be faster than most of those guys."

Also said in 2004, "I want to go to up for big fights and recognition"

ONLY TO THEN STAY AND FIGHT:

    Mger Mkrtchyan

    Kabery Salem

    Mario Veit (again)

    Evans Ashira.

    It's a ****ing joke!

You can call him the greatest ever, but it's only through a lack of ambition!

On accomplishments he's the best, but Ward at 29, has already achieved more than Joe had at that age.

Anyone that knows anything about boxing, knows that a peak version of Roy would EASILY have beaten Joe, but that's only if he'd have had the bollocks to take the fight in the first place!

So you continue to praise the man from Wales who knew what his capabilities were, and who wanted the Crown Jewels to fight Roy, even though it was obvious that no promoter or network was going to give him them!

It's funny how he was scared of flying, until Roy and Hop were in the 40's, and then everything seemed fine.

But lets all suck Joe's ****, for hugging the WBO belt for TEN YEARS that was worth a packet of peanuts, before unifying against Kessler who'd beaten nobody of note, after FOURTEEN YEARS!!

    What a legend!

Why don't you go and join another forum, because it's clear that you don't know a ****ING THING about boxing, you ****ING IDIOT!
