most romanians don't turn pro unfortunately, would be good to see juratoni, nistor, etc in the pro's but i can't see it
Nice :good Sort of reminds me of Kertson Manswell, Tye Fields, or Zack Mwekassa. These guys have their own physical attributes whih would be helpful if they simply knew how to utilize them. Kalenga can be a great fighter if he sorts himself out.
The McCall fight was not a robbery, although it was close on cards. :yep It was also by far his worst showing. He didn't look to be the goods that time.
Modnugno is undefeated as a pro as well. Oleksandr Usyk is another decent Heavy to look for. Shafikov is the goods as well. A fight with Allakhvierdev should be sorted for Russia. :happy
amir khan's cousin, Toka Khan Clary. quicker and punches harder than amir, we'll see about the chin later.
I saw an interview with Juratoni, to a sports television in Romania where he was saying he signed an APB contract, and he wont be able to participate to one of the Amateurs competition. Cant remember which one, the Olympics, the World Championships, or European Championships. And he also doesn't get well with the trainer that is at the national team, the former medalist Dorel Simion. He said that if Simion will be kept as a trainer there, what can he do but turn pro, he doesn't want to waste his career.
Bogdan Dinu (Romanian HW prospect.) Big puncher, good movement but very inactive. Recently won some half assed "Bigger is better" tourney, in wich he didn't impress besides the final. Robert Woge (German LHW prospect.) I saw him first on a Abraham undercard fight and he destroyed his much more proven opponent in such a manner that I knew he was one to watch. I put him in my "team" for Rooq's challenge and he got me a hell of a lot of points since.
Even if you're a pro you can fight in WSB as long as you have less than 15 fights i believe. Because Modnugno only had 13 pro fights he fought in WSB this season where he lost 2 fights and won one via robbery against Arkhypenko who is a 6'0 CW. Just read that Shafikov signed with Top Rank :happy He was rated #2 IBF at 140lbs after beating Mensah but dropped down to 135 because he walks around at 142lbs. I assume he'll stay at 135 since he lost his 140lb rating in the IBF.
Szpilka was still a kid, when he lost in a amateur fight against Zimnoch. Szpilka knocks him out in the first 6 rounds. When he fought against McCline or Minto, Zimnoch still fought against a Polish bum who lost to Niko Falin, a Thaiboxer from my city, who had his debut fight in Biggers Better as boxer .. and this guy can not box!! McCall won against Zimnoch with 2, 3 rounds more.
