Danny has been boxing since he was a kid, he's a world champion. He's not scared of anyone. This is what he does for a living. I get it though, Matthysse is the new boogyman in the sport and it's easy to disparage a guy like Garcia from behind your computer.

 

Danny is from Feltonville, which borders Kensinton/North Philly AKA as the Badlands. Its a rough part of the city. Of course he has a nice house outside the city now, but he still traions out of Harrowgates which is in Kensington.

 

Matthysse destroys him within 5 rounds, because garcia has a shaky chin,, too stiff, his defense is too suspect, and his punches are too wide.

I'm from North Philly, A street and Allegheny to be exact. You're over exaggerating the place. Sure, it's rough.. But if you grew up there and steered clear from trouble, you're alright. Nobody is gonna force you to do anything you don't want to. I think Danny went to Edison and stated he had a lot of street fights outside of school, which is understandable. CEP was walking distance to Edison and they used to always fight each other.

 

Lamont Peterson probably had a much tougher youth as Garcia, it didn't make Lucas go easy on him either.

My sister in law used to teach at Edison. I think he may have been there the same time as her.

 

Being from a rough neighborhood is one thing, but some need to know that the sparring and ring wars that go on in Philly's gyms are what makes fighters from Philly tough. Harrowgates is an old school gym and its where Danny started from. Not everyone there is a world champion but coming up there are tough guys that will push you and I gurantee Danny has been hit just as hard there as he will get hit from Lucas.

 

If you think Garcia is not scared your just stupid, boxers are only human he's facing his toughest tough against a beast and Garcia comes across as a scared guy anyway

I think you meant "you're just stupid". Anyway, the whole "you're stupid if you don't agree with me" argument is tired and unimaginative. People are scared of the unknown. Mattyhsse is not the unknown. Danny has been getting hit since he was a kid. Boxing is in his blood. He's been on a good streak and his confidence is at an all time high. Let's also not forget that he's fighting Matthysse. I'm sorry, but your assessment seems pretty hollow.
