I love that move G thing right there, he schooled him and that was just to son him:yep it is common knowledge Hamed calls MAB daddy:good
i never get why people say marco dominated him for 12 rounds! I didn't see it live but remember that i scored 4 rounds to naz so it was competitive fight. I guess its because naz said things people didn't want to hear and his ego was to big so they remember that and say it! any way i didn't know who hammed was at the time and found him out only in 2005, just so you would know i don't care if anyone think that I like the guy!
I loved the commentary at the end where Foreman puts Lampley in his place. Lampley was really digging into Nas as the final round was coming to an end. He got personal and unprofessional by making stupid comments including saying "Allah knows how to spell Barerra". Foreman angrily replied "You should be cool on that". Later on they had the following exchange: Lampley: I don't think he likes him George. Foreman: I dont think you like him much yourself Jim. Lampley: I like him just fine... Foreman: You said some things, I don't think you like the guy, you should be careful what you say. Lampley: .... Foreman was great on HBO, never afraid to speak aqainst Lampley and Merchant when they started spouting rubbish.
Gonna have to track that one down. For all that I think Prince Naz was a dick (albeit a good boxer) that kinda racist bull****'s never acceptable.
no. Naz grabbed Marco in a headlock early in the fight and pulled him to the canvas. Marco got his own back by slamming his head into the post. fair is fair in my eyes.
Here's a link to the Foreman Lampley exchange, including the the possible DQ incident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLtyKffXp4s
Naz got sonned proper, he was out classed, problem was that he was so delusional that he thought his Shenanigans would be accepted and tolerated. Against a Mexican warrior like Barrera, :rofl You kidding me? its like ****** Bieber trying to punk Suge Knight, it ain't gonna happen. And no, Barrera should have not gotten the DQ, if they DQed for **** like that half of Naz record would have been DQ lossess, and it was in response to an antic Naz did on him first. Nas is and was a ****ing clown that got exposed when it came time to the big leagues. hi:
Naz was a show-boat in the ring of course, but not a dirty fighter. He did get rough in this fight, but I can't remember another Naz fight where he did something similar to Barerra where he could have been DQ'd nevermind half his fights?
the Soto fight wasn't exactly clean. Naz got frustrated with what Soto was doing so flipped him over his shoulder and slammed him into the canvas. but apart from that, Naz was a clean fighter.
the big leagues? Naz owned the division for 5 years. he cleaned it out. so this comment is far from the truth. i suppose Barrera failed on his challenge to be in the big league when Jr Jones beat him twice? :think
It was unsportsmanlike but it really didn't look dangerous (although admittedly looks can be deceiving). The pad negates the blunt trauma and it didn't look like MAB had enough leverage to compress his neck. It was more of a taunt than a foul. I'd say point deduction all things being equal but like others have said Naz didn't get penalized for the headlock takedown.
of course he trained but his mind was gone. look up many emanual steward interviews or watch the documentary focusing on Hamed in the build up to the fight.
