I can't believe how gullible people are being in feeding these decoys/trolls that are posting here now. Let it rest. Unless you're enjoying it?

Why would anybody pay somebody to troll?

Good list! Also Dempsey KO1 Fulton in what I believe was a record, approximately 19 seconds (also seen this listed as 23 seconds- shame there's no footage!) :good

Interestingly I remember watching an old fights program in the early 70s where Dempseys 18 second ko was shown. It was a grainy film but at ring level. I remember they went back and showed the ko in slow motion to better exhibit Dempseys power. I've never seen the bout shown again so assume it's within a private collection or has been lost.

To stir up interest. Things get active and it attracts people who wonder what all the fuss is about. More traffic on the site. More hits. Advertisers look at those numbers before they pay you to post on your site.

You can ask him if you want. But almost a thousand posts in the space of a single month, most of them ridiculously consistent in their contrarian content, is pretty incriminating evidence to me. Not to mention that it all begain as soon as the new administration took over.

The duck can quack to me that it isn't a duck, but I'll trust what I see and hear with my own eyes and ears. I suggest the same for everyone.

Tommo is a nasty little troll. He also said David Tua would KO1 Rocky Marciano. That's all you need to know.

Their ranking at the time Liston beat them doesn't mean much to me. What matters is how good they really were.

Valdez #2??? Maybe he shouldn't have been ranked so high in 1958. Valdez was just about washed up when he fought Liston in August of 1959. Valdez was 1-2 (1) in his previous 3 fights. The only win was over a 7-1 fighter, one of the losses was an 8th round KO to Charlie Powell. Valdez was 47-17-3 (35) going into the Liston fight (4 losses by KO) and fought just one more time after the Liston fight. He had already clearly lost to Folley, Machen x2 (once by KO), Bob Baker x2, Satterfield, Archie Moore, Harold Johnson, and others.

    Liston's best wins-

    Patterson KO1
    Patterson KO1
    Folley KO3
    Machen W12
    Williams KO2
    Williams KO3

These lying scum will try to convince you that Martin and Marshall were better than Patterson and Williams. What a joke! :rofl

Obviously, they were not better. They were able to beat Liston though. So, when it comes to going H2H vs. Liston... Martin and Marshall went 2-2 (1) vs. Liston.

Hey, Frazier and Norton were much tougher opponents for Ali than Foreman was... but Foreman went 3-0 (3) vs. Frazier and Norton, and Ali stopped Foreman in the 8th round.

It has nothing to do with who was actually better.
