I was just watching the fight and weis was beating that a**. I will post the fight, and watch he 6th round where weis officially knocked chaves down and damn near stopped him.

I also noticed chaves can't take body shots too well, so i wouldn't be surprised if thurman ko's him wit a body shot, but either way thurman will stop this dude.

im sick of this argentinian circle jerk going around lately...argentines have their collective noses so far up in the air that it's actually hilarious. Their boxing fans are annoying as **** at the fights as well.

Im cool with sergio (only cause he's hot as f_uck) and maidana cause he's badass...but please no more.

I hope thurman knocks this ****er into orbit.

But I agree Chaves is nothing special and Thurman should dispose of him rather easily.

Watched footage of Chaves and he is very underwhelming. A classic Al Haymon hand picked opponent. Argentinian fighters are hot right now so he probably thinks he can fool the boxing public by handpicking a undefeated fighter from the country and building up the fight like its legit.

getting dropped by omar weiss isn't something to be ashamed of...especially in his 17th fight. omar weiss is the first guy to beat hector camacho jr. he also went 12 hard rounds with zab judah and beat emmanuel augustus. he's a veteran compared to chaves. that was a step up fight for diego. he passed the test. hell...in the round where he got dropped he got back up and outboxed weiss for the remainder of the round. that's the mark of a champion.

i'm sure gbp thought the same thing about maidana when they matched him against victor ortiz.

in many ways...this is a dangerous thing. chaves is an unknown commodity and there aren't many recognizable names on his ledger to compare him to.

haymon matches his guys tough. who thought pirog would ko danny jacobs?

paul williams fought walter matthysse when he was undefeated with 25 wins w/25ko's....antonio margarito....sergio martinez (twice!!!)....lara...

stop with the hand picked opponent ****. not all fights are going to be tests. stay busy fights are part of boxing. diego chaves is not a stay busy fight.

Ward got dropped by Darnell Boone

lots of very good to great fighters have been rocked by a mediocre guy

Chaves dusted himself off and won

    is there more evidence

You mean on this board or in general? The only other Chaves thread posted here in the last month was by me asking if there was anybody with a scouting report on him, and I had to bump it once or twice to get any response.

@KO KIDD, what part of "WASHED UP" do you not understand? Weis fought judah in 2002 at 140, so stop nutthugging, and don't mention ward with a bum like chaves.

He not only got dropped, he clearly lost the fight too.

He looked good getting rid of El Massoudi though, for what it's worth.
