Chaves looks relaxed from the start while Thurman has been moving a little excessively with nervous energy.

:good Well, natch. It was the best of the day on paper. (and that includes both the rest of this Showtime triple-header and Estrada vs. Melindo and Gradovich vs. Munoz from this morning in Macau...both of which I expected to be mismatches...)

Thurman is not looking too confident in there.

Thurman a bit more accurate in the 5th. Missed a bit of the 4th, but based on what I saw, I have it 38-37 Chaves.

Thurman must have a bad chin, this guy is fighting so cautiously. Looking like Malignaggi out there running around the ring.

    Round 5

Thurman is circling and jabbing. Chaves is missing with abrupt left hooks. Both are scoring a bit to the body. Not much action. Thurman picks it up with the jab near the end of the round, landing it in doubles and countering with it when Chaves leaves a hand in the cookie jar with a stray missed hook.

    10-9 Thurman

    49-47 Thurman
