This is like that Hearns-Hagler first round for 12 rounds...

 

It's these type of fights that could ruin a fighter's career/life.

 

Folks don't get it that fight will take something out of both fighters.

Arakawa took more clean punches to the face than Floyd and Hop combined in the past 5 years.

 

I loved the fight but arakawa i wish he put more waist and legs into his punches.

 

That's why Mayweather and Hopkins are still going strong. Just hope Arakawa returns well and isn't severely affected.

 

This guy is why I love boxing, this fight was brutal! But at the end of (almost) every round, Arakawa would smile and touch gloves with Omar...an absolute legend....if only he could punch a bit he'd be a beast!

Oh just thought I'd mention Oscar De La Hoya said he's giving them both bonuses for that display, and they definitely deserve every penny they get!

Great fight. This was Barerra Morales level entertainment. Level of skill wasn`t there but action wise that was a great great fight. Hope those boyz get seriously paid for their next fight.

 

Did DHL say howmuch he`d be giving?

 

The one thing that I love about the UFC is that because they essentially have a monopoly over their sport they can essentially dictate all the fights and all the pay checks. So they litterally can force the best to fight the best for pennies on the dollar. They can then stack the card with seriously bad ass fights and have good action from top to bottom for a reasonable cost to the network/promoter. The fact that GBP is the defacto UFC of showtime boxing is giving us great fights like this one. And frankly if the GBP match makers can continue to put on cards like this then unfortunate to say most everyone else is going to forget about the fact that HBO is giving air time to skilled guys like ward, crawford, Rigo (current situation not with standing he's had plenty of HBO dates) and a whole other list of very good very skilled fighters.

Anyways, bottom line is fight fans with, maybe boxing wins, but a couple of very bueatiful ring technicians might get frozen out.

 

De La Hoya should double their purses!
