Because to his fans he is more important than the actual sport. Most fans would look at it in a way that Boxing > The Fighters. But because he is the first truly international superstar to ever come from Philippines (9th most populous country on Earth) he is more important to them. He is almighty and invincible to them and they put all their national and racial pride eggs into the Manny basket...then JMM came and knocked that **** right out of their hands. To them it is Manny > Boxing > Other Fighters, making him more important than the sport to them and resulting in them viewing him as infallible. Therefore anyone who beats Pac has to be either a cheat or on PEDs.

Pac never said he was afraid of needles and never confirmed the story. You cant find any article, audio or video of Manny saying he is afraid of needles. If you can find me something where Manny himself says he is afraid of needles I will stand corrected.

Once in a while, someone intelligent comes on this site and actually posts something accurate about this topic.

And then they're followed by the usual echo chamber of idiots. Like this:

    And this:

    And this:

    And this:

    Are you fcuking slow!?!?! :nut:nut:nut

This is why everyone was laughing at Pac! Everyone else was saying the exact same thing. Why would Pac claim he was afraid of needles with all those tattoos? :deal

Isn't Pac asking for Rios to take the same testing that he initially refused for Mayweather? Am I wrong about this?

If I was Pac I would have initially refused the test aswel, if your the number 1 fighter in the sport which Pac undoubtedly was at the time of the initial negotiations then why the f*ck would he agree to something that is not required, NSAC does not require random blood & urine testing & at the time nobody else in the sport was really doing it, so why should Pac agree to Floyds demands when it was clear for all to see that Floyd was scared sh1tless of facing Pac, once it was clear that the fight was not going to be made without the testing Pac agreed..
There are waaaaay too many Pac haters on here, im not a huge fan of either butbi feel sorry for the way Pac has been crucified since the Marquez loss, a fight which in my opinion Pac looked like he was back to his best after the last few lacklustre performances & he actually looked like he was gonna put Marquez away once and for all before getting hit with the home run.

I wish they could just get together & sort this 5hit out once and for all in the ring, but it seems as its Floyd is the one that doesn't want to make it happen.

how many times does this myth needs to be corrected.

pac never claimed he was afraid of needles...arum just assumed that was his reason. watch pac's explanation way back in 2005 about why he's wary of blood testing close to the fight and notice that pac didn't say anything about needles.

That's such bull. There's videos from as recent as last year of Roach and company saying 3 days cutoff, 14 day cutoff, 3 tests maximum, etc.

Demanding extra tests when the current tests are clearly inadequate is not being bitches, it's helping to legitimize the sport and make things fair.

well then tell me/us. what is the known PED/s that could make pac unbeatable that he could get away with from the tests he agreed to do?

unlimited urine test all the way to fight day.

    3 blood test.
-1st blood test will be right after the press conference announcing the fight.
-2nd blood test no later than 24 days before the fight.
-3rd blood test will be right after the fight.

I'm no drug expert and though I'm no huge manny fan I never believed he was on steroids, but to act like Pacquiao didn't make himself suspicious and now all the talk with Marquez is not utterly hypocritical is just crazy.

Not to rehash old stories but when the fight was first announced one of the first things I remember hearing was that Mayweather had asked for drug test with Pac's trainer on tv saying it did not matter only for them to have issue with drug testing day's later when it was learned that could not control the schedule. From then up until last year every few months all we heard was Pacquiao said he'd do drug testing only for his team coming out two days later saying they aren't doing drug testing flip flopping back and forth the only time you can say without a doubt that everyone in Pac's camp was saying the same thing s far as drug testing was last year after the Marquez III disaster. For all the talk about Marquez at least he was willing/pushing to drug test during the lead up to Pac-Marquez III and IV.
